-*Violet's POV*-
Violet's breath formed puffs of smoke in the chilly air. She rushed along the streets, admiring her surroundings and taking it all in. She was so absorbed that she ran straight into a guy who had been crossing the same street as her. "Zero! Sorry I wasn't paying attention." She stood up, flustered and cold from the snowy bank."Ether that, or you're trying to beat the record for the clumsiest snowman ever." He said, grinning with a smirky smile."Hey!" She growled, tossing some snow onto his face. "S-orry, snowWOMAN." He said, and then took off running through the streets. "Why you-!" She grinned and chased after him, her long black hair willing in the windy storm. "Aw, are you tired all ready Vi? Weakling!" He said, laughing and giggling.
"Excuse me, but some of us are trying to get to class." A high, snooty voice sounded above them, and the face of Melisa Douglas, resident teacher's pet was above us. "There is no running in the halls!" She huffed, flicking her brown hair behind her. "In case you haven't noticed, we're not in the halls. And I thought you were supposed to be smart!" Violet sniggered, and Zero burst out laughing. "Humph. Don't let this happen again!" She said before stamping off towards the library. "What a boring person she is. Now, who shall we trick today...?" Zero was searching for a victim when all of the sudden, Violet's older sister Emerald stepped out of the classroom next to them.
"Violet, you and Zero are disrupting a learning environment! Please, be QUIET!" She said, growling. "Shouldn't you be keeping quiet too sis?" Violet was grinning from ear to ear. "Just be quite, okay?" She said before heading back inside. "Yes queen Emerald. C'mon Zero, let's head to class." Violet and Zero rounded a corner and slipped into class right as the bell rang. "Zero, Violet. You were almost late again!" Their teacher, Mrs. Wren glared at the from the front of the class. "Yeah, the key word there is ALMOST." Violet grinned, and she a Zero sat down at their desks in the back of the classroom. Violet put in her earbuds and drowned out Mrs. Wren's voice as she talked about something or other. All of the sudden, a crash came from outside the hall and the door was flung open.
