Please read this in order to understand some important aspects of the contest.

1. Q: Do I have to follow my category's judge?

A: Yes, this edition you have to follow your judge. They are putting up a lot of effort in helping, and without them, this contest would not exist.

2. Q: What if my book doesn't have 5 chapters when I sign in but will do once the judging starts?

A: Your book must have at least 5 chapters when you enter (A/N, Prologue, Cast, etc. doesn't count). The judging can start at any moment, so it is important to have all needed before signing in. If not, then you can sign in when you publish 5 chapters. Your book will not be accepted if it doesn't have five chapters.

3. Q: I have entered in the subgenre "Fan-fiction". What will happen to my book?

A: By entering into Fan-fiction subgenre, you are letting the judge know that your book is based on a certain fandom. You must know that your book will probably be read by someone who doesn't know the fandom, and it will be judged accordingly. The judge isn't required to know your fandom, thus will treat your book just like the others.

4. Q: What does one shot mean?

A: A one-shot story means that you have a story with one plot, one conflict, few characters and is usually short, even one-chapter long. All the development is done in that chapter, and it might even have a moral side or be a screenplay.

5. Q: My form has been declined. What do I do?

A: Unfortunately, once the form is declined, it will no longer be accepted. Make sure you read the rules and complete the form correctly!

6. Q: What if I have previously won in the WOC Awards?

A: If your book won a place in the WOC Awards, you won't be able to enter it again. If your book won a special category, you can enter it again in the genre category. If you have other books which haven't won anything, you can enter them.

7. Q: My form has been accepted, but I cannot find it on the Participant's list. What do I do?

A: First, refresh your app or sign out and back in. Wattpad doesn't always update the chapters. If not, bear in mind that you need to allow us up to 48h since your form has been accepted for your name and book title to appear in the participants' list. Don't forget to refresh the page or the app. If it doesn't, please contact us and we will fix this immediately.

If you change your username and book title, you need to tell us via PM, or else it will be removed.

8. Q: Can I request certain chapters to be read?

A: Unfortunately, you cannot choose what chapters of the book to be read.

⚠️ For the awards, make sure the first five chapters of your book are edited and ready to be judged when you sign in. If you have a poetry book, make sure your best poems are displayed in the front, at least in the first five chapters. Judges sign up at different times, so we cannot start the judging period at once. So make sure you have everything ready to go.

Any other questions please ask via PM or on the message board. We get a lot of notifications and may not see them in this chapter.
