Short bobby pov

Bobby paced the outer rim of the pool with his hands in his hair. He couldn't stop the stress and doubt that poured from his mind. Why was she kissing the guy on the video? She looked as if she had climbed him and wrapped herself around him even. The other guys said it was probably for the challenge but how could he believe that was true? She wouldn't volunteer to kiss someone else, just like he hadn't! Now he was told he would need to decide whether or not he'd be sticking with her or switch to one of the new girls. The thought of coupling up with another girl made him feel sick, but what was he to do when every instinct told him she had chosen to abandon him. Just like every other girl did when they realised they were out of his league. Honestly, he should have known, it wasn't new to him.

Noah walked outside and starts a pace that matches Bobby's. The early afternoon sun beats down harshly and Bobby pulls his purple tinted shades down over his eyes. Hoping they would hide the evidence he'd been crying.

"we gotta do this now man. They want to bring the girls back as soon as we finish up."

Bobby stopped walking and looked to the side at the rainbow selection of pool noodles  and asked them if it would be okay, and he swore he could hear them whisper that they didn't know. so he hung his head and followed a disturbed looking Noah to the fire pit. He goes last, unsurprisingly. To drag out his personal turmoil no doubt, and he decided secretly that he hatesld the producers for it. They must have loved torturing him. Class clown Bobby, punching bag Bobby, pushover Bobby! Lucas is the only Islanders who decided to switch and Bobby couldn't bring himself to care.

When his phone beeped he stood on shaky legs and before he could think he heard himself switching and coupling up with Emily. She was a pretty blonde who had been trying to get his attention from the moment she entered the villa. Naturally he panicked as soon as the decision was made, suddenly knowing without a shadow of a doubt that Miri would never do anything to hurt him. It's as if the fog in his brain had been lifted and every single time she had reassured him of her loyalty had finally registered for him. He was an asshole, and now he had dug himself into a hole he'd never be able to find a way out of. She wouldn't forgive him, not for this. He could feel it in his bones.

As soon as it was over the girls not chosen were asked to pack and leave the villa, and once they were gone the rest of the Islanders are ushered into a van and whisked off to a rented out restaurant where gourmet food was prepared. Bobby didn't eat much, Emily had her hand on his lap and the rosette apple pie was too tart and dry. He couldn't stop his leg from bouncing and his mind from racing. He could feel his breathing become labored and his heart felt like it was beating so fast it might just give out. He guzzled water to kill the time, not that it helped.

Hours pass before they were brought back to the villa and once they arrived he fought like hell to keep from becoming ill in the bushes outside the back gate. He'd lost her, he'd self-sabotaged like he always had and now the doors were opening and he was walking out onto the lawn with someone he didn't even like all that well.

Bobby had known pain, he had experienced it in his life. Felt it's sharp and cruel edges as it sliced him open, he'd seen it on the faces of people he cared for. But nothing, he had ever seen or felt could prepare him for the look of raw agony and betrayal on Miri's face as she noticed the girl on his arm.

The bright smile on her beautiful face as she first saw him slowly slipped away as her brain and heart caught up with her eyes. Chelsea scrunched up her face in distaste and grabbed Miriam's hand, a sign of her support but never took her burning gaze off of Bobby. Shame, like he'd never known, overtook him and he felt his cheeks burn and his eyes glistened with the grief he was causing them both. He wanted to scream! To rush over to her and fall to his knees and beg her forgiveness for his own insecurities but he knew better. He was the only person in the villa who knew how badly she wanted to believe in him, how hard it was for her to trust him when she'd been hurt so badly before. He knew her story better than his own, understood her, yet he hadn't been able to remember that when she needed him to, and he failed her. Now she stood with her shoulders slumped and her head hung, she refused to speak or meet his eyes but Bobby didn't miss the silent tears streaming down her face.

He finally gained the courage to speak and he couldn't stop his voice from breaking even if he wanted to.

" I..um..fuck! I messed up. I don't know what to say..." He looks over at Emily who seems to be enjoying the pain on Miriam's face, furrowing his brow he looks down at his shoes and shifts his weight from one side to the other awkwardly. " I misunderstood the video message I..well I thought that..." something catches his eye and he notices the same guy Miri kissed is holding hands with Marisol and he blinks rapidly. " I thought you were going to switch, you were kissing someone so I just..."

Before he was able to make a bigger fool of himself she raised her head and stood a little taller, her eyes grew cold as they met his, a look he had never seen passed between them and he shivered at the icy blue feeling that settled in his veins.

" it makes no difference now, does it? You've made your choice and obviously some girl you've known all of two seconds was more important to you than waiting and finding out if I was worth the risk. Apparently, I wasn't. Noted Robert. Glad to know where I stand. "

She kept her have stony as the ceremony went on and when it was over she disappeared into the villa. Gary had to physically keep him from following her and his body ached in protest of being so near to her but not having the privilege of being able to touch her. That night he let silent tears fall in the cool night air while the camera zoomed in in his tormented face. All he had to do was wait. It was all just a misunderstanding and now she was gone. All night he struggled with the urge to pack up and leave. Why would he stay? He'd found what he came for and now he'd lost it. There was nothing left for him but the memories they shared and an endless pit of nothing in his chest. He didn't feel anything now. So when Emily disappeared under the duvet to use her mouth on him he didn't stop her.
