it's a date

"Hello Mrs. Clearwater" I greet Sue as I walk inside her diner

"Now Em I have told you time and time again to call me Sue, it's fine that you call me that" she informed me.

I smiled and nodded

"yes ma'am," I said and grabbed a few brownies that were wrapped in shrink wrap and grabbed a to-go cup full of some of Sue's good sweet tea.

"Alright I need you to take these over to Billy's for me, he said he would have come over yesterday but Jacob's under the weather and he is keeping a close eye on him" Sue informs me as she hands over a container with handles on it and a big pitcher that has aluminum foil over the lid.

I nodded my head and bit her goodbye then walked out the door with my hands and arms full.

As I got closer to Billy's place I could hear him and Jacob talking.

"When will you go see Emerald?" Billy asked

"I don't want to see her, I want to see Bella. but this is happening to me so I can't Sam tells me those who I have hung out with and was friends with, I can't see them anymore" Jacob replied

It broke my heart more that he rather see the vampire lover over me.

"So that night you came home smiling and for the first time in years was really happy, and when I asked what had you like that you told me, Emerald. It now means nothing, she now means nothing?" Billy asked

"She means a lot to me, but I don't want to harm her, yes she is Sam's sister and the love of my life, but how am I gonna face her when I have been following Bella awroundlike a lost pup?" Jacob asked

"And that night was the greatest night of my life" Jacob added.

I knocked on the door and they went quiet. I heard the sound of movement and Billy rolling his wheelchair towards the door so I assumed that he was in Jacob's room.

"Who is it?" Billy called out

"Billy it's Em" I replied

He opened the door and I smiled.

"Emerald what a surprise, I thought you worked today?" he asked

"Well I just got off Patrol when Sam told me Sue wanted me, and that she said I was off work today, so I went to her dinner she gave me these things for you and Jacob since he is under the weather/ shifting. " I replied

"Well come on in," Billy said and moved back so I could walk inside.

I smiled and thanked him as I headed over to the kitchen table and placed everything down my drink included then went about grabbing plates and utensils for the guys before I opened the container and started warming up the food.

I turned and looked at Billy as he wheeled his self up to the table and I took a seat next to him.

"How are you doing today Billy?" I asked

"I am doing fine thank you Emerald" he replied

"Please just Em or Emmy", I told him

He nodded his head

"Of course, sorry", he said

"It's fine, it's just Emerald is a mouth full" I chuckled which made him laugh.

I got up and checked on the food before serving some to Billy then putting the rest in the microwave for Jacob. I wasn't about to bother him or have Billy do it since he and I both know that I heard what was said.

"Have you caught any fish on your last trip?" I asked

"Caught a couple of Rainbow trout and some Codfish" He said

"I have never been fishing so I am clueless on how one would go about getting the good ones. I mean I can hook a worm and cast the line out on certain fishing rods but to actually know everything else that is important, I am clueless" I said

"One day I'll have to take you," he said

"I believe you have yourself a date," I said while smiling

"Haven't had one of those in years" he informed me

"wow, then I am honored to take out out on one even if it's a fishing one, it still counts."
