Third Person POV

"[What?!]" Eliza asked, beginning to panic.

Angelica burst into laughter. "[You should have seen your face!]"

Peggy began to giggle as well. Maria was just flat out confused.

"[W-What...?]" Eliza questioned, looking like she was about to cry.

"[I was kidding! It was just a telemarketer!]" She choked on her own laughter.

"[Not funny!]" Eliza yelled, her face turning bright red.

"[It was a little funny...]" Peggy whispered.

"What's going on?!" Maria asked, tired of the confusion.

Eliza turned to Maria, "We're leaving." She sneered, grabbing her hand and getting up.

"What?!" Maria exclaimed, pulling Eliza back down. "What happened...?"

Angelica frowned. "Me Eliza talk alone..." She got up and notioned for Eliza to walk with her, she did.

Maria watched the two of them walk away, wishing they didn't leave her alone with Peggy. It wasn't that she disliked Peggy, she just felt awkward.

The two of them sat silently for a moment before Peggy finally spoke up.

"Peggy." She stated simply.

"What..?" Maria replied before realizing she didn't speak any English at all.

"Peggy."

Maria looked away uncomfortably, "M-Maria..?" She finally responded, not sure what to say.

Peggy giggled.

"Peggy."

"Maria."

"Peggy."

This continued for many minutes, both of them in hysterics. It seemed the language barrier didn't stop them from forming a much needed bond. They'd be living together, after all.

Almost like a movie, Eliza and Angelica soon appeared back at the table, acting civilized.

"We made up." Eliza explained, sitting down. She looked over at Peggy. "[We made up.]" She repeated in Hebrew.

"[Oh, good.]"

As they got situated, the waiter came back with their food, setting it in front of them.

"[This looks delicious!]" Eliza exclaimed, digging in. "[I missed this food.]"

Charles's POV

I sprawled out in my office, sipping my lukewarm coffee and spinning back and forth in my chair. "It's your first day on the job, you got this Charles..." I muttered to myself. See, my self confidence isn't the best, but I'm working on it. Day by day I'm working on it.

"Lee." My boss called harshly. I jumped up in my seat.

"Y-Yes, Mr. Adams!" I sat up straight.

"We've got a case for you. This determines whether you keep the job or not. DON'T blow this." He handed me a folder labeled classified and just like that he walked away. Not caring what I had to say in the slightest.

"Alright... Here it is... The moment I've been waiting for forever..." I whispered to myself, opening the folder.

Two girls gone missing... I flipped through their information. Well, this definitely wasn't going to be easy, but I've got this. I have faith in myself.

- Time Skip -

I knocked on the apartment door.

"Police department, open up! I've got a search warrant!"

No response.

"Open the door or I will enter forcefully!" I threatened, still nothing. "Okay, y-you asked for it!" I squeaked, not sure if I was doing it right. I sighed shakily and took out my master key, unlocking the apartment door and slowly opening it.

Nobody. The place was dead empty. I looked around, the place didn't look vacant, at least, not completely. There were two bedrooms and a living room, one of the bedrooms looked like it hadn't been used for weeks, but the other bed looked like it had been used recently. The bed was made and seemed untouched, there was also a makeup stand, but most of the makeup looked like it was taken out. I pulled open the dressers to find they were all empty. Ah, we have a runaway. I opened my notebook and wrote down my findings.

"Looks like we're done here..." I murmured, taking out my camera and taking some pictures of the house before leaving. I crossed Lewis off my list and moved on to Schuyler. Looked like I was going to be doing a lot of moving around today.

Eliza's POV

Today had been absolute heaven. I sprawled out on the bed as I waited for Maria to come back from brushing her teeth. It felt so good to be home. Tonight, I would sleep soundly.

"Hello cutie..." Maria cooed, laying down next to me. She was wearing sweatpants and a baggy t-shirt. I was wearing a short nightgown with nothing underneath it. I was hoping she'd notice and start something, I was far too shy to initiate anything. So, I wore this as like a subtle hint, I guess.

Maria yawned and wrapped her arms around me, I nuzzled into her chest.

"Do you like my outfit 'Ria?" I hinted.

She glanced at me quickly, "Mhm."

She was clearly tired, today was probably a long day for her. I looked back over to find her faced away from me, snoring. I smiled to myself, lying back down.

"Goodnight, my sweet angel..." I whispered in her ear, wrapping my arms around her. The perfect way to end the perfect day, and the perfect start to a perfect life.
