one week later

"Toni you should've saw the way he was crying in his car like balling his eyes out. He was in the driveway for like 10 minutes before he finally pulled off. I don't know what Jan said to him but it was exactly what he needed to hear. He been calling nonstop since than and it's been a week you I want to throw her damn phone out the window." I was over Toni's house with Jaelyn and Jaylah I had to catch her up on the latest tea since she was out of town with her sisters.

"Ice that's not funny, Gil can be an asshole but, you know what never mind he deserved it he shouldn't be talking about my grandchildren like that." I looked at her like she was crazy.

"Oh so now you wanna claim me?" I didn't want to come off as aggressive as it did but I guess it's about time we address the situation.

"Icelyn let's not do that it slipped okay. I won't say anything else about." She stood up to go in the kitchen. She always runs away from her problems for example me. "No T we have to talk about it sooner or later I didn't mean to be so insensitive. It's just you had no problem giving me away but you kept Denim."

"Listen it wasn't my choice we weren't in a good situation I had to do what was best for you and if that meant giving you to my aunt then that's what it is."

"Yeah whatever imma head out." I grabbed Jaelyn and Jaylah and put them in their car seats. "Just admit it you don't want to tell Janet or anyone for that matter you fucked up and had me it's okay I know i'm a mistake I can accept that, but you can't and that hurts. I need to go call me when you wanna actually talk."

Janet
Icelyn went to see Toni and left me with Jaliyah, Seven went with Caché to the fair he won't be back until tomorrow. That gives us time to finally finish his room up and it be a surprise. I was on the phone with Missy when I heard the door close.

"Hey babe why you back so early?" She looked like she had been crying. "Oh uh Toni had to go get her kids, so I left. You make dinner yet?" I didn't wanna press the issue so I left it alone.

"Yeah your plate is in the microwave i'll take the kids upstairs and put them to bed." She just nodded her head and warmed her plate up.

The rest of the night was really calming we watched movies and ate a bunch of junk food and before you know it we were sleep on the couch.

We were sleep on the couch until I heard a belt hit Janet on the ass. She was hit so hard the babies woke up. I tried to get up and get them but a familiar voice said I got them.
I knew the voice was Toni but who she was with I had no clue. Until Janet went to cuss them out.

"Man what the f- mother? W-what are you doing here?" Oh shoot I didn't think she would literally beat her ass. "I came to knock some sense into you like you did Latoya last week, I would've been here sooner but I wanted to scare you." Janet was shaking i'm assuming she's cold so I put the blanket around her.

"A year Janet I haven't spoken to you in a year and it's not like your on tour you are home taking care of my grand babies with a wife. Not a girlfriend or a fiancé but a WIFE meaning you had a wedding and I wasn't there   Do you know how it feels to find out that you have a whole entire family on the internet and tv."

"Mother I tried to call I really did, but you guys aren't that understanding when what I do doesn't please you." I have never heard Janet speak like this, she was terrified, it turned me on.

"Do I look like Joe to you? I think the fuck not. You I didn't come here to make you feel like a bad mother because your far from it but I did come to make you feel like a bad daughter and sister. You need to do better and you can start by taking me up these stairs to see my grand kids so I can leave I have to go back home." Janet nodded her head and took her upstairs and Toni came down. Ah shit here we go again.

"We have to finish our conversation Icelyn." I rolled my eyes and turned the tv on. "Okay let's talk. You and Birdman gonna have any kids?" She looked at me and laughed.

"I don't see anything funny about that statement Toni."

"I can't have kids but if I could I probably would."

"You going to give that child away too? So it could be like every other kid you have to give them away? Or you gonna keep it and treat it better than your first born? You know i'm just curious so I have a heads up." I can tell I was pissing her off because she was staring directly at me with her eyes squinted.

"Icelyn Michelle Carter- Jackson shut your mouth."

"Oh so now you know my name and now you wanna act like a mother. You have NEVER BEEN THERE FOR ME AND NOW YOU WANT TO? FUCK YOU TONI."

"I have never been there for you? Okay so who was there when Will raped you?" She was towering over me while pointing her finger at me. 

"You were the reason I got raped because of YOU I would've never went through that if you were being a good mother." Boom that had her burning with rage.

"I was there for you when you gave birth to my grandson, I was there when you tried to kill yourself, ME I WAS THERE NO ONE ELSE. WHEN EVERYONE TURNED THEIR BACK ON YOU I WAS THERE. DONT TALK TO ME ABOUT BEING A GOOD MOTHER!" I pushed her out of my way. She slapped me and I fell back into the chair. I got back up and was about to slap her until I felt Janet pull me back.

"STOP IT, both of you have a seat and don't speak. Mother I think you should leave i'll fly you back out here myself so you can meet the woman I fell in love with because this is not her." Katherine walked out of the door and it was just us.

Janet
I was upstairs when I heard Toni and Icelyn telling me and mother went downstairs and all I saw was Toni smack Icelyn I immediately ran to pull Icelyn back. I don't know what they are screaming about but I damn sure was about to find out.

"You guys are a family there is no reason for you two to be putting hands on each other." Icelyn looked at me and spoke. "You punched Latoya last week... in the face. Don't preach it if you don't practice it."

"That's different she's my sister you guys are cousins." Icelyn scoffed.

"You gon tell her or you still to ashamed?"

"Tell me what?" Toni was violently shaking her leg and it was scaring me I have never seen her like that before.

"Toni Michelle Braxton is my biological mother."

"EXCUSE ME?!?"
