I had to make sure I heard the right thing.
"Excuse me? I don't think I heard you right." We stood there staring at each other until Icelyn finally said something. "I said what I said, Toni needs to talk about it she has been keeping me a secret way too long no one knows we'll accept her, me, and my mother."

"Okay i'm confused Toni how did you hide a child for almost 20 years? Everyone thinks I have a child that i'm hiding, but you really do, wow that's crazy."

"This isn't funny Janet, for years I wondered why she didn't keep me was I a disappointment? Did she hate me? Did I ruin her life? Nah but she ruined mine. She wonders why I tried to kill myself it was because of HER!" At this point Icelyn was back in Toni's face and Toni went to speak, but she just picked up her purse and walked to the door, but I grabbed her and pulled her back.

"The reason she is so mad at you because you never answered her questions. Why are you running from her like she is the one who got you pregnant. Toni you need to tell her and now before you aren't in your grandchildren's life."

Toni
I never wanted to get pregnant while I was in my prime, but I did and I couldn't get an abortion, so she couldn't stay with me. For 10 months nobody had contact with me or saw me I stayed with my aunt and had a home birth. I left the next day but I always made it important to have a relationship with her whether I was her mother or not and when she found out we said we'd never talk about it, but yesterday something slipped out and she just wouldn't let it go.

"Janet there is nothing to talk about I gave her to her mother and that's just that. I don't have to explain anything except I did it for you own good. Look at you now you have a beautiful wife and kids and all without me. You should be thanking me. I did this." Icelyn at this point was crying and I wanted to hug her but I knew that wouldn't be a good idea so I just left.

"Yeah right run, run like you always do. Don't come back to this house and don't call until you can tell me what I need to hear, the truth." I couldn't tell her I gave her away because I chose my career over her. She would hate me even more.

Janet
Toni left out the house and I couldn't believe all this was happening. I cuddled up with Icelyn until she feel asleep on the couch and I went upstairs into the babies room and they were all awake.

"Hey babies, y'all are so adorable. How did we go from being so happy to this?"

Flashback
"Baby i'm home, I just came from my mothers house she made you some soup she heard you weren't feeling too well. Babe? Where is she?" Icelyn walked into their room and the bathroom light was on but the room was dark. When she walked in she saw Janet on the floor crying.

"Babe what's wrong? What happened?" She rushes over to her side. All Janet did was hand her the box and Icelyn's eyes widened. "You took them without me?" She nodded her head no. "So why are you crying?"

"Because i'm scared Ice, we went through a long ass process just to be told we aren't pregnant. You know i'm not young so that also is a factor." Icelyn wiped Janet's tears.

"Jay age ain't nun but a number, you look better than any 20 year old. It's like your sexy ass doesn't age. On top of that your body is sexy as hell what other 50 year old has abs, ass, and lips like you? Exactly nobody so let's open this box and get this family started." Icelyn kissed her lips and walked out so she could handle her business. 3 minutes later she walked out the bathroom. They always said that Icelyn would find out first.

"So what you gon do for nine whole months? Your not going to go outside for the world to see." Icelyn asked Janet and Janet rolled her eyes. "Imma stay in the house or wear really baggy clothes, and we don't even know if i'm pregnant yet."

"Yes we do." Janet's eyes welled up with tears and jumped into Icelyn's arms. "Thank you, thank you, thank you." Icelyn said as she kissed Janet's lips.

End of flashback

"It's all hell now, your mother is going crazy, and friends are dropping like flies."
