Layla was trying to hold back the tears, but they slipped from her lashes and down her cheeks. She sat down on the bed edge covering her face with her hands. She felt Malicious sit down next to her and rub her back softly so he didn't hurt her, but enough to comfort her.
"I love you so much, but I have never wanted something more in my life Malicious." She whispered and looked up at him.
Malicious sighed.
LI'm sorry Layla, I...I just can't do it. I wouldn't know what to do if I lost you."
"You couldn't even think about it, I mean I just went through my transition and You don't know what you're going to feel like in four or five years."
He ran his hand through his hair.
"If I say I will think about it will you stop crying?"
"Probably not."
Malicious groaned and was rubbing his face now.
"Why do you want a child so much?" He asked trying to keep his temper in check.
"My mother was always away or busy along with my step father. I was always so alone and when I did get to see my parents is was because I had done something bad and needed to be punished, but I know Malicious, I know I could be a great mother...I just need a chance."
"I know you would be a great mother too Layla, I never would doubt that. What if we wait a while, have a hundred years or so together?"
"Malicious...stop being like this. I know you don't want a baby, but you're not even considering me in this."
He fell back on his pillows and sighed, Layla climbed up on her knees next to him.
"Please...Please...can we at least just try." She begged.
"How about on your fifth Eve...you will have good age behind you, be in your prime and maybe your body will be strong enough to endure pregnancy and labor." He answered.
"I don't even know why we are talking about this, we just got engaged...we haven't even been together six months and you are planning out our children that can't even happen for another five years anyway..."
"That's too long." She spoke in-between kisses.
"It sounds like a long time, but you really will be stronger Layla, I'm not doing this to torture you, I just...I don't want to lose you and we need to take precautions and wait."
Layla met his beautiful eyes. "You won't lose me I know I'm strong enough!"
"I know you are my love, I just don't want to push my luck, I just got you and from what your father was talking about your mother went through her eve about every two years not five, which gives me even more anxiety about this whole damn subject."
"Two years..." She said nervously.
"Ya...you just started your vampire life and then it's gone from giving birth and the worst is that you would never know our child, plus you're so young Layla you haven't actually lived yet and I mean I have, but I would love some time with you first."
She sat back up on knees nervously biting her nail
"Well maybe..."
"How about this...we see where we are on your first eve... I want to wait, and you should never service a female on her first Eve, because it is her weakest one... and strongest, but if..."
"I want to wait..." She blurted out.
"You...You do?" He asked sitting up on his elbows, looking at her confused.
