We head to the first road course of the season for the twists and turns of the Sonoma Raceway! Who will be able to drive through the tricky esses and the harsh first corners to claim victory in 12 laps at Sonoma! On pole today is the #14 Chevy for Jones Racing Inc. of Colton Layne. Starting 2nd is Logan Bradley. In row 2 Matty Porta starts 3rd in the JRI #81, starting 4th is Jesse Turner, our Valvoline 200 winner. Starting 5th is Anderson Reed and alongside him in 6th is Cody Goforth. Sam Picard will start 7th and alongside him in row 4 is Austin Johnson. Row 5 is DJ Kurtis starting 5th and rounding out the top 10 is Matthew Brown. Alex Benyacko, the points leader, starts in the tail of the field. Tib Foster makes one of his few MDCS starts in the #47 car today. No cautions due to game limitations. Colton Layne leads the field to the green flag!
Into turn 1 Layne already takes the lead as cars are already spinning in the back. Casey Mears takes a hard hit into the wall but continues. Layne leads lap 1 as Matty Porta goes into 2nd for a JRI 1-2. Colton Layne dominates this race and will win at Sonoma! (Nothing to note)
