A/N Will & El are 17 btw
"Don't tell him! He's gonna freak out" she was right. He was totally going to freak out. Hopper loved El an immeasurable amount. He loved all his kids, but El was his little girl, and if he found out that his daughter was kissing boys in school he'd flip.
"Well, we need make up to cover it up" Joyce on the other hand. She knew what it was like being a teenage girl. She understood El. So she didn't tell him.
They covered up the hickey that was on her neck, they kept quiet. They didn't tell Hopper, in fact they planned on never telling Hopper. Well they didn't plan on it.
Wesley Timothy Hopper. Four years old. Professional snitch. He was a rat. The older kids never said anything around him because they were too afraid he'd spill the beans. But one thing Wesley knew how to do even better than snitch was eavesdrop. And today he did just that.
Wes knocked on El's door. "What do you want?" her annoys voice translated clearly through the door. "Can we playyyy?" she opened the door and shook her head "I'm busy. Ask Will"
He did, but again all he got was a "Nope! I'm busy, ask mom" he was mad now. All he wanted to do was play. He stomped his little feet to Joyce. Were he was given a disappointing response "I'm sorry, bud. I'm very busy. Ask your siblings."
Being the youngest does really suck. Nobody wanting to play with you, constant teasing, not being taken serious when you feel mad. It wasn't all bad. He had a secret way of getting attention. Snitching.
And that's how he planned to get attention today. He acted quiet, so nobody would notice him. Manipulating 101.
Hopper was home. He had a long shift, on a Saturday. So shitty mood. Perfect for ratting someone out. Wes snuggled in to Jim's arms. He was sitting on the couch. "Hey bud" his grumpy mood gets better once his youngest comes to him.
"Hi! How was your day, daddy?" One of the steps of manipulating 101 was being extra nice and cute. "It was shitty. But I made it through. Anything interesting happen while I was gone?"
This was it this was his chance of getting pay back. "Um well I played with my cars, mommy was busy doing work, Will was on a call with someone, and El was telling mommy something about Mike giving her a hickey....I don't know what that is but it sounded bad"
Hopper got out of his chair immediately. "El!" His voice was angry his body stiff and cold. El rushed out to see why he called her.
"What's up?" Her voice was calm and collected unlike Hopper's. "What the hell?! You're still seventeen and now you're getting hickeys!" El's eyes widened "Mom! I can't believe she told you"
"She didn't, your brother did" Wes smiled sneakily at Jane. "You brat!" Hopper and El went at it for a couple of minutes. Joyce honestly didn't know what to do until.
"Stop treating me like a little girl, I'm not a little girl anymore!" Hopper sighed. "Go to your room." His tone was more of a defeated one. El stormed off to her room slamming the door when she got to her room.
Wes went up "Da-" Jim shook his head "Also go to your room" he wasn't in the mood. Wes ran to his room. Hopper sat on the couch and Joyce sat on his lap. "You need to calm down, Hop." She wasn't yelling she was calm. She ran her hand through his hair. "But she-"
"She's growing up, my love" she kissed the top of his head. He sighed "It hurts. I don't like that she's growing up. That kid Mike. I don't like him." Joyce laughed a little "I think we're going to have to get along with him. El has been with him for a couple of years. I don't think that's changing any time soon."
Jim grumbled. Joyce laughed "Hey, grumpy. I think you owe our daughter an apology." Hopper looked at her and then he gave in. He stood up. "If you weren't so cute, I wouldn't be apologizing."
He walked to Jane's room and knocked. "El. Jane, please open the door." He heard her get up. She opened the door looking up at him, she had been crying. God, now I feel guilty. He thought to himself. "I'm sorry. I know I treat you like a little girl sometimes, but it's because you're my little girl. My only one. I don't want to lose you, kiddo." She hugged him. "You're not going to lose me, dad"
Family. That's what they were. That's what they always would be. Started off with two kids sitting with each other, to two teenagers wildly in love. To new parents figuring how the hell life works. Now they were complete.
Joyce was in bed. She saw Hopper lay down and couldn't help but smile. "How'd it go" he grinned "Awesome. You know our life might be messy. But we have the greatest kids." Getting closer to Hopper Joyce mumbled "They take after me" she laughed.
Jim rolled his eyes and grabbed her and started tickling her. "Stop!" She giggled. He loved hearing her laugh, it was the best sensation. He eventually stopped letting Joyce catch her breath. She blew her bangs out of her face once again like that first day they met. The absolute cutest thing. He smiled at the action that basically made him fall in love with her. It was simple yet it was amazing. Just like their life. Simple yet amazing.
A/N Finally got around to finishing this :) I hope you liked it ❤
