'FUCKING HELL' Graham looked to his right to see Damon frantically kissing Justine all over, and to his left Alex kissing whoever was closest, and in this instant it happened to be a short geezer with mildly clean hair and a grey echobelly shirt. The club was noisy and crowded with seas of London folk. Graham took the bottle of chardonay from the table, about half full, and walked off into the dense
crowd. He got about half way to the door when a woman in a bright jacket yelled 'hey aren't you from blur!' Graham shrugged and walked off, seeming not to care about whoever approached him. He exited the busy club and found himself on the cold streets of Camden, on a side street of Kentish Town road. He lay against the cold side of the building and slowly sunk down until he was sitting cross legged on the freezing cold January pavement. He swigged from the bottle a few times, whilst spilling the majority on his bright blue coat. The London night seemed bitter and remote at this hour of night. Reluctantly the boy took out a cigarette and lit it, his hands trembling in the cold. Graham sat there, on the sidewalk staring at the London postcode thinking, how did all this happen? My friends are in a club ruining their lives, the music scene has ruined my own life and everyone I know is a bastard. Graham thought he should get home as it was approaching midnight. Lucky he had a transport pass on him, which Alex had nicked off of someone from food earlier that week. Unwillingly, graham stood to his feet and clambered to Kentish Town overground. He disposed of his bottle and hopped on a train. He didn't know what line or what direction, he just needed to get out of there.

30 minutes later of not knowing where he was, The tube suddenly stopped, as he had reached the end of the line and was now in Richmond. Graham stepped of the train, and left the station. He hadn't an inkling as to where he was, he understood he was in Richmond but had no clue of anyone who lived there. He walked through the pitch black. The pavement was wet from early evening rain. As he walked he noticed his reflection in the dark puddles, as he stumbled on the streets. As the cars drove past they splashed rain water into the roads, leaving the bottom of Graham's blue jeans soaked. He didn't mind though, he preferred the feeling of having cold ankles to the feeling of being in a hot club in London with his arrogant band mates, who couldn't care less about his whereabouts. As graham walked through the roads of Richmond he started wondering what would be different if it all hadn't happened. What would have changed? Who would he be? What if he hadn't befriended Alex at university. What if he hadn't befriended Damon at school. What if he hadn't learned guitar. What would he be. Graham thought to himself. The streets were silent and eerie. 'I would be fucking happy.' He spoke to himself. His voice low and shaky. Graham wiped his eyes as tears welled up and used his already wet coat to clean his face.

After walking for 15 minutes through dark gloomy roads he reached the comforting street lights of a cafe.  He stepped inside and took of his wet coat, meanwhile mopping the floors with his wet shoes. under his coat he had a brightly coloured long sleeved shirt which he used to wipe his eyes again, and clean his glasses. He sat down at a table, and was passed a menu from one of the few staff at the cafe. The whole place was empty apart from the stray drunken geezer or teenage couple. Graham checked his watch. He couldn't read it properly from being completely emersed in alcohol but noticed it was well past midnight. He took his glasses off, put them on the table and rested his head on his arms and began to weep. He couldn't hold it in. He felt his body, his mind, everything shut down and his hatred for the world gushed out. Tears were streaming down his face. When he looked up he could only see the distorted lights of the street lamps. He slammed his head on the table in frustration. Why me.
