The 1940's Escape

Chapter 9: "What the Hell have you Done."

Mae's POV 11:30 p.m.
"What the hell did you do Adrian!" I hear Tim yell as my vision goes blank in & out of consciousness. "She's bleeding pretty bad." Dana said frantically as I hear footsteps.

Dana's POV
We run over to Mae's unconscious body laying around the room with a hole in her chest. "Why did I think this was a good idea?" I said rubbed my temples in regret. As soon as we went to aid my sister, We had to try to wake her but nothing was working. "Guys the wound is bleeding again!...Dana you know CPR right?!" Tim said panicking on the floor.
"TIM CALM THE HELL DOWN!" Adrian yelled as she took a needle, a thread, & bandages to stitch the wounds.

3rd person POV
Come on Mae....Don't leave.....NOT YET!!....I'm s-Sorry!!" Adrian yelled through sobs as her & Dana got to work. "Come on sis don't do this." Dana said while giving oxygen to Mae. "Why the hell does she have more wounds than the last time she went into a challenge?" Tim asked confused. "Don't ask." Adrian said quickly as she finished stitching up the last wound. Soon enough they heard a small cough. It was Mae coughing out a small bit of blood. "N-n-no no No! Stay away from me." She said pointing at Adrian while backing away into a corner. "No no M it's ok." Dana said calmly as she took Mae's hand & leaded her to face Adrian.
Mae's POV
"You don't have to be scared, it's ok....." Adrian said as she pulled me into for a hug. "I'm soooo sorry I shot you." She said. "And I'm sorry....here's what happened, Autumn had two gems & I had one...so she decided to give me the other gems." I said still hold her tightly. "So we could possibly escape?" Tim said with his head in his hands. " Apology accepted." Adrian said as she ruffled my hair. I smiled as Dana & Tim came in for a hug. Then all of a sudden we here a growling noise coming from outside. Then a giant man-bat thing flew in. We all ducked for cover behind the couch. It screeched as we hear it grab something. Moments later we get up from behind the couch & realize Dana was gone. "It took Dana....oh no no n-no." I said collapsing & starting to hyperventilate. My breathing became heavier & heavier. Then I feel a hand stroking my hair. It was Adrian. "You're ok...M...I'm here Shhhh." She said soothingly through my whimpers. "Remember what I said earlier how I'll have your back?" Adrian said as she cradled me in her lap. "Yeah?" I said confused of the thought of the question. "Well I'm right here & I'll never leave...we have each other's backs." She whispered as I buried my head into her chest. "I-I love you Adrian." I said softly. "I love too Mae." I said as Tim crouched on his knees go into the hug.
