Chapter 9

Three hours later,Vlad was in his lounge reminiscing about what happened between him and Melissa. He was still downcast about the whole situation when he heard his phone buzzing. He picked it up and saw that the caller ID was Gina.

"Hey." Vlad said.
"Fuck you jerk. You have caused more harm than good." Gina shouted from the phone.

Vlad was confused and he did not know why Gina was angry at him. He decided to ask her.

"Why are you pouring dirty words at me?"
"Because of you, Melissa is in jail for three hours now. You simply can't control your dick."

As Vlad heard that Melissa is in jail,he became more confused. He got up from his seat and paced round the sitting room. He put his hand in his hair due to frustration.

"What happened?" Vlad asked.
"Because she was thinking how you messed up with her, she did not see the oncoming vehicle heading towards her direction. That oncoming vehicle belongs to Viktor Anatoly Ivanov and he put her in jail because she ruined his car. Vlad,if she spends another hour in that God forsaken place, do not regret what would come at you."
"Gina,I'm ...."

As Vlad wanted to finish his sentence, Gina had already hung up. He immediately took his car keys and he guessed Viktor must have jailed Melissa in the central prison. He hurriedly went to the prison. On arriving the centrh prison,Vlad saw Gina,Mariya and a Lady he had never seen before.

"Gina,please is she okay?" Vlad asked.
"Of course not. How can she be okay in a cell?" Gina retorted. "Redo your errors."
"Gina it's okay. By the way Vlad,I'm Claudine one of Melissa's friends. Please you are our only hope now. Viktor has refused to put her on bail. I think you are the only one that can oppose Viktor because you are the mafia heir and things like that." Claudine said.
"Okay. Let me go and speak to the Lieutenant." Vlad said.

As Vlad left the ladies, the ladies saw Viktor entering the police station. They could not embarrass themselves by pleading on behalf of Melissa. So they hoped Vlad would succeed in releasing her. Vlad was discussing with the Lieutenant when Ivanov suddenly entered.

"Lieutenant George, you know the Bratva have been helping you in carrying out certain criminal activities. Remember the one we solved last year. We helped you guys bring down that Spanish mafia. Please kindly return the favour."
"Hey,Mr Ivanov. Nice seeing you." The Lieutenant said.

Viktor sat down on the chair opposite Vlad and he greeted him.

"What brings you here?" Viktor asked Vlad.
"Viktor, I think you are keeping my woman hostage."
"I don't understand what you mean."
"The lady that ruined your car is mine."

Viktor suddenly nodded his head showing he understood what Vlad meant.As they were discussing Demyan entered the Lieutenant's office. He was shocked to see Vlad.

"Vlad Dimitrov,nice meeting you. I always wanted to personally meet the heir to the most popular mafia in Russia."
"Hi Demyan. As much as I am happy to see you too. Please tell your friend to release my woman."

Demyan looked confused and he looked at the other 3 men in the office.

"Ruslan,the lady that ruined my car is his woman." Viktor said.
"Oh,I'm sorry Vlad. Viktor why don't you release the girl already. I am sorry Vlad. By the way Viktor you can always repair it and moreover you can buy a better one. You have money to do that."
"It was a lesson to be taught to the lady to be more careful. Since she's Vlad's woman as he says,I'll release her without any bail."
"Now you are talking. Lieutenant, you can release the lady now." Vlad said.
"Sure."

The three gentlemen left the office and waited for Melissa to be released. Vlad turned and looked at Demyan.

"We go to the same school and you never bother to speak to me and yet you are happy to meet me personally." Vlad said." You had several opportunities to do that. "
"You know me at school?" Demyan asked.
"Why not?" Vlad answered.

Vlad saw Melissa coming towards their direction and as he went to hug her,she pushed him away.

"I don't wanna fucking see you. I hate you Vlad." Melissa said.
"I helped in releasing you from jail. At least give me some respect for that." Vlad said. "By the way you are making us the center of attraction."
"I don't care."

Melissa said this and left. She finally saw the girls on her way. Demyan and Viktor looked puzzled.

"I thought you said she was your woman?" Viktor said.
"We are in a kind of problem now but it would fix itself." Vlad said.
"Viktor, remember the lady that poured ice cream on my shirt?" Demyan asked.
"Yeah."
"That's her who ruined your car." Demyanmoment.
"Oh,why is she so careless? Vlad,how do you cope with a careless person. She doesn't deserve you."

Vlad looked at Viktor and he wanted to punch him right in the face. He decided to control himself because he wanted to solve pressing issues at the moment. He decided to force a smile out.

"That's called love bro. I love her imperfections." Vlad said. "I need to join her and her friends. It was nice talking to both of you."
"Likewise." They both said.

Vlad hurriedly left them and he met up with the ladies. He saw Melissa and he kneeled down in front of her. Tears were already rolling down.

"Babe, I'm so sorry. I have missed you. Please I didn't mean to hurt you."
"Oh you didn't mean to hurt me. That's the same thing you said last time and you do the same thing again."

Vlad held her hand while still kneeling and in his heart he desperately needed her forgiveness.

"Babe,I'll tell you all about me,the mafia and all. Please just open your heart for me."
"Too late Vlad."
"You heard her Vlad,she doesn't want your apology." Gina said.
"Babe,I freakin' damn love you. You have the wrong impression of me and Tamara. Babe,say you love me too."

Mariya and Claudine looked at each other and they felt sorry for Vlad. It was not their decision to make.

"I hate you Vlad." Melissa said.

Melissa removed her hand from Vlad's and turned her back in him. She was about to leave the prison.

"Mariya and Claudine, let's go." Gina said.
"We are not leaving Vlad here." Mariya said.
"Mariya,come let's go. Vlad doesn't deserve us to be by him.''Gina said.
" Fuck off Gina,both of us are staying. "Claudine said.

Gina angrily left with Melissa and the remaining two ladies stayed with Vlad. They helped him get on his feet but he was still crying.

"She hates me." Vlad lamented.
"It's okay. Everything would work out." Mariya said.
"She fuckin' hates me and it hurts to know that." Vlad continued saying.

As Mariya and Claudine were trying to console Vlad, little did they know curious people were taking pictures. They were so eager to discover that Bratva's heir could cry because of a lady.
