| Aoibheann's P.O.V|

(Aoibheann is an Irish name, you pronounce it 'Ay-Veen' 😂, sorry for any confusion, our main character Aoibheann is Irish, but I'll get into that more later..)

I sipped at my coffee slowly, trying to drag out the morning before going to work.

I really disliked my job, long hours, an ASSHOLE for a boss and it's so very boring! I mean, most people would think I am having right fun with my job, an ACCOUNTANT! It's possibly the most boring job to ever exist. It's just the only thing I'm good at. The wages aren't too bad at all, though..

Trying to erase the thought from my mind I flicked on the TV.

There's got to be something decent on.

Even though my favourite show was on, I still sighed and day dreamed. Nothing can really interest me anymore. Just my music, listening to Paul, John, George and Ringo. Sometimes a bit of Elton John..

I guess I'll just go to work. Rather early than late. Well, not really but-

As soon as I turned on the car the radio came on.

"She's a Killer Queen, gunpowder gelatine, dynamite with a lazerbe-"

I quickly turned it off. That song is driving me mad. It's only been out for about two or three months and the whole country is going crazy, let alone the whole world. This 'new band'. Well I'll tell you what, they're no Beatles.

I really don't see what's so good about them! 'Queen'. What sort of name is that? And how many times have I seen that music video? Or pictures of that stupid man! What on earth was he wearing? I can't even remember his name.. Frank? Forest? I don't even know.

As soon as I stepped inside the building in my breezy white blouse and knee length navy pencil skirt, I heard my Boss, Janette, screaming at me.

"Aoibheann! Did you get that paperwork done? The deadline is today and Mr. Finley keeps nagging me constantly to get them finished! We're relying on you, you know! If you didn't finish them you're-"

"Yes, Janette, I filled them out, they've been done.." I said as quietly and calmly as I could. I quickly pulled the papers out of my bag and pushed them towards Janette, trying not to make eye-contact. Even though I could feel her eyes boring into me, I still looked down at my feet.

"Good. Now you go and do whatever else you're supposed to be doing.." she said, clearly distracted by checking all the papers. God, I hate that wretched woman.

What a f*cking cow..

I was somehow lucky enough to get out of work by 4pm. I wanted to relax, but that could wait until the weekend. I decided to ring up Dan to see if he'd want to do something. Dan is one of my colleagues.. I like him. A lot. And he might feel the same about me, I think. Perhaps we could go see a film?

The phone rang for about ten seconds before he picked up.

"Dan, it's me, Aoibheann.." I said nervously. I've always hated my name, it's so hard to pronounce and ugly..
