Aoibheann's P.O.V.

December 31st, 1974 (11:38 am)

I must've drifted off again as I woke up. Freddie was asleep, resting his head on the armrest of the bed. I had my arm draped around his neck.

I ran my fingers over the back of his neck causing him to mumble something. Ticklish, hm?

I more purposely tickled his neck which he let out a little yelp, a light smirk appearing on his face.

I brought my hand to under his chin and he slowly blinked open his eyes, completely unaware of what was going on. I started tickling him with both hands now to which he jumped up with a shriek. I got myself into a fit of giggles as he fell over.

"Wh-?!"

"Good morning, sleepy," I laughed.

He mumbled something before pulling himself up onto the bed, snuggling into me.

"You're such a little child!" I teased.

"I do what I want," he muttered and nestled himself in beside me even more.

"Well, happy New Year's," I whispered.

"You too.." he said and placed a small kiss on my neck.

"Freddie!" I gasped.

"What?" he asked but I stayed silent.
"...Sorry.."

"I just.. I don't feel like that... well, no, I said that wrong-,"

"You don't feel like that?" he sat up and looked at me, disappointment filled his eyes.

I stayed silent for a few seconds. Do I feel like that? Or do I not?

"So you got my hopes up like that?" he frowned.

"N-No, Freddie-"

"No, I think I understand," he sighed with a low chuckle.

"No, Freddie, I need you.." I pleaded.

"Oh do you? Or are you using me?" he said as his eyes turned a cold, hard, dark brown.

"Freddie.. I'm still trying to figure it out.. I am not using you.. I like being with you.."

I could see that his tense shoulders relaxed at my words.

"Please.." I said and placed my hand on his.

"I.. I like you, though.. I... I can't see you as a friend.. I want more," he whined.

"Freddie.." I looked down, my cheeks burning.

"You're lying.. look at me," he said as he tipped my head up and looked at my red cheeks, "Stop denying it.. Please just give in.." he encouraged my temptation.

I stared at him for a few seconds before he slowly leaned in. He switched his gaze from my eyes to my lips repeatedly and closed his eyes. My breathing got faster and faster as I just turned my head and scrunched my eyes close, leaving Freddie's lips to land on my cheek.

"Freddie," I whispered as he pulled away. I could see the frown on his face in the corner of my eye.
"Go out.. Don't stay here, go enjoy your New Year's. Don't wait for me."

  "B-But-"

"Freddie. Go," he looked so sad as the words left my mouth.
"D-Don't come back. If we can't be just friends then so be it," I knew I didn't mean it. I knew he wasn't going to leave, but I'm not ready for that, I don't want to be in a relationship with him. Not yet, at least.
