DIPPY'S POV

The prison grew more and more miserable the longer the days went on. Because of his position, chained to the cell pillars by the neck and tail, Dippy couldn't sleep. His eyes were bloodshot and his mouth loathed with hunger and thirst. The Watchers weren't very good at taking care of prisoners.

As Dippy was about to drift to an unconscious state once again, he heard a deep voice caw, "Ripper wants to see the prisoner."

Dippy looked up and found a beautiful phoenix standing at the gate. He stared at the guards with expressionless, beady eyes.

"Why?" one of the guards asked.

"It's none of your business," the phoenix hissed, "It's a private matter."

The first guard stared at the phoenix confused as the second guard opened the cell door. The phoenix strutted into the cell room and flew up to the pillar holding Dippy's neck. Using his sharp claws, he picked at the locks of the chains.

After all of the chains had been unlocked, Dippy fell to the ground, exhausted.

"Get up!" the phoenix crowed, grabbing Dippy's head and lifting it. With the phoenix lifting his head, Dippy used his wobbly legs to get up off of the ground. After seeing Dippy on his feet, the phoenix gestured with his wing and left the cell, followed closely by Dippy.

After walking through several corridors for some time and walking up two flights of stairs, Dippy and the phoenix walked up to Ripper's throne room, where he was resting near his computer.

"Sire!" the phoenix cawed, lifting its wings and dipping its head into a bow, "I have returned with the prisoner you requested."

Ripper opened one, blood-red eye and glared at the phoenix.

"What?" he snarled, confused, "I didn't ask for any prisoner."

"Yes, you did," the phoenix corrected, "You told me to go down to the dungeon and fetch you the most recent prisoner, which is this guy."

"I told no one to get him!" Ripper huffed, "If I did, it would pop up on the computer. That's where everything is."

"You must've forgotten," the phoenix crowed, cocking its head.

Ripper stood up and stalked towards the phoenix. He got up in its face and growled, "I. Never. Forget."

For some weird reason, the phoenix didn't back down. Instead, it glared back at Ripper and told him, "Look. I know you told me to bring the prisoner up here. And also to blow this place up."

"WHAT?" Ripper shrieked, backing up. The phoenix smirked and started to molt. Its red feathers fell to the ground to reveal brown and white feathers. The black talons turned yellow and the black, pointed beak turned into a yellow, dull beak. Dippy couldn't believe who he was staring at now. The phoenix had transformed into Mac, the Elite's resident roc.

Mac turned to Dippy and told him, "Let's get out of here!"

"Good plan!" Dippy screamed back at him. Mac took the skies and grabbed onto Dippy with his thick claws. Using his immense strength, Mac blasted through a sunroof and took to the skies with Dippy in tow.

"You won't get away with this!" Ripper screamed faintly as the Watcher base disappeared from view, "I will find you and destroy you ONCE AND FOR ALL!"

Dippy just laughed Ripper's threat off. There was nothing he could do at this point. Dippy was already free.

Then, that all changed when something shot through the sky above Mac. Mac noticed it and he was washed with a face of shock.
