GWANGI'S POV
Thanks to the secret hallways that were scattered around the base, Gwangi and Drogon were able to make it to the generators. With the sounds of a great battle outside (now that the Elites had entered the base), Gwangi and Drogon prepared to place the bombs on the generators.
Looking around for no guards, they approached the giant generators and placed the magnetic bombs along the sides of the giant vessels. After placing the bombs, Gwangi and Drogon started to step out of the room and head through the secret hallway when a noise echoed across the room.
Gwangi and Drogon ran and hid behind the generators, peeking over the corner. Gwangi was half-expecting to see a lowly guard entering the place to hide from the onslaught of the Elites outside or to check the area. But that wasn't the case. Standing at the foot of the door was Ripper, his head erect and his nose flaring.
His sickle claw clicked against the metal floor, causing an eerie echo to bounce off of the walls. The sounds of constant nostril-flaring mixed in with the sounds of the ticking claw, erupting the room in a flurry of scary sounds.
The entire time, Gwangi held his breath and he could feel Drogon doing the same. Ripper continued to keep his nose in the air, trying to sniff out any possible intruders. Sensing none, the monster huffed and started to trudge towards the door.
Suddenly, Gwangi had an urge to go after the horrid dinosaur. He had to be disposed of with the bombs. He just had to find a way to lure the monster back into the room so that he could set the bombs off. But how was he going to get out? He saw a pair of large doors along the top side of the room. That's it! He could easily escape out of that if he got the chance.
Gwangi turned to Drogon and ordered, "Wait here," before slinking out from behind the generators. He stood in full view of Ripper as he disappeared out of the room.
"RIPPER!" Gwangi screamed. The dinosaur stopped suddenly, hearing his name. Gwangi watched with confident eyes as Ripper turned his head slowly to look over his shoulder. Then, Ripper's entire body turned to look at the Allosaurus that was standing right in front of him.
"Well, well, well..." Ripper growled, his sickle claw tapping against the ground once more, "If it isn't the scoundrel who couldn't save his family from my wrath."
Gwangi was taken aback by those words, but he had to push through them.
"I don't care what you say to me about my deceased family," Gwangi snarled, his eyes narrowing, "I just want to get the score settled."
Ripper looked at Gwangi in surprise, but that expression changed to a hard glare.
"Very well," Ripper said. At that moment, the side doors opened. Blue and Ashley burst through, only to be stopped from falling by some fences. They looked upon the scene beholding in front of them in shock.
Ripper glanced at them but didn't seem to care that they had an audience. He looked back at Gwangi and hissed, "Don't you want to tell the raptor about what happened that fateful night I raided your town?"
"What raptor?" Gwangi snapped. He was confused.
Ripper was silent. He seemed confused as well. Then, he started to chuckle, "Wow. I'm surprised you haven't noticed."
"Noticed what?" Gwangi roared, "What are you talking about, you horrid beast?!"
Despite the flurry of insults thrown at him, Ripper stayed surprisingly calm. He looked at Gwangi in the eye and explained, "When I attacked your town on the night of the smoky full moon, I didn't kill your entire family in front of your eyes. After you ran away from my troops in the sorrow of losing your wife and son, I went snooping around. And that's when I found it - a giant egg on the verge of hatching. I realized what opportunity I had at hand: to train a dinosaur straight from birth is a dream for any tyrant such as I."
