Char x Pyro Viper! Reader

Chapter 1

You had always had a bit of a crush on Char, ever since he was your family's servant. You were the child of a noble serpentine family who had many servants, but Char stood out the most, as he was always making mistakes such as forgetting people's names, preparing the wrong meals, tripping over things and the list just went on and on. Because of this, your family were always making fun of Char, mocking, teasing and humiliating him in front of the other servants and other noble families. Even the servants began treating him like dirt. You were the only one who stood up for him, which made your family confused and angry.

"Why do keep defending this servant's incompetence Y/N?! Your Father angrily shouted at you.

"Just give him one more chance, Father PLEASE!!!! You shouted.

Why should I? I asked for my bath water to be warm, that's lukewarm. LUKEWARM!!!!! AND he called me by the wrong name AGAIN!!! AND he burned the food for last nights dinner. AND-

"OK OK dad. I will go and talk to him." You said,making sure that Char didn't have the face your father's wraith.

"Hopefully that talk will do him good. All the other talks never did anything! I'm a reasonable, kind snake, but I will not tolerate anymore mishaps! If he makes one more mistake I'm sending him over to the King's line of servants. Hopefully that will make him straighten up and fly right!! I'm too lenient, that's the problem!" , Father called after you.

You went up to the servant's quarters and went to Char's room. You could hear him crying.

"Oh Char, you said, going over to hug him, "It will be ok."

No... no it won't!! I'm always making mistakes and burning food! I'm a useless servant!!! He wailed, sobbing.

"You are not useless. It's my father that's the problem. He's too stuck up. Complaining about bath water, that's just ridiculous!

"What about last nights dinner huh? Don't tell me it was delicious. It wasn't."

You were taken aback by his slightly aggressive tone. He had never talked like that to you before. You felt angry that a servant was talking to you like that but then you remembered it was Char. Char, the one who had played with you when you little, the one who used to comfort you when you were sad that your parents couldn't spend any time with you because of their stupid gatherings with other nobles.

You smiled as you remembered all the things he things he done for you over the years. Now it was your turn to do something for him.

"Char, listen to me, we all have flaws and things we aren't good at. However, we can improve on them if we don't give up and just keep trying!" You said confdently.

Char listened to you. Then he smiled. "Thank you Y/N. Your're right! I just need to try harder!! Now, I must go and prepare dinner. And promise it will be edible tonight!!" He said, getting up and slithering out of the room.

You walked after him and smiled. You were glad you could cheer him up. However, there was this feeling you couldn't shake off that things were going to change....

Well, what do you think? I'm not sure whether I will continue this story or how far I will go with it. Feel free to point out any grammar mistakes! Also, you and Char are around the same age in this story. Basically, he became a servant when he was just a kid.
