Diamonds POV

We'd been traveling around for days and had found a good place to rest. It was close to midnight, Gemini and Rin were cuddled up together sleeping, Jaken was holding his staff up asleep near the three. Sesshomaru was sitting up against a tree asleep, and I was sitting by the fire...wide awake. I couldn't help it, though; this always happens when there is a full moon. I moved my hair out of my face and looked at the sky. The quiet air reminded me of home, and without realizing it, I started to hum a tune from my childhood. It is a song that I know in my heart but from where I don't know.

Unbeknownst to me, my humming woke up Sesshomaru, who had moved to stand behind me.

"I've heard that song before," startled I jumped to my feet only to almost fall straight into the fire. Sesshomaru caught me by my arm and helped to steady me. I blushed slightly and looked towards the fire, my bangs falling back into place.

"My mother used to sing it to me, she said that song was passed down to us from my great great grandmother."

"Lady Seia was an amazing woman and a powerful demon. I will never understand why she gave her land to my father."

"Maybe it's because she knew he loved a human." I could feel Sesshomaru's stare on the side of my face, and I only smiled. "A love that knew no bounds, I think that's why she gave her land to your father." I looked at him, and he looked away with a slight glare.

"He was given these lands before my birth, so how could she -"

"I was told she could see glimpses of the future. One thing I was not ashamed of growing up was that i seemed to share that same ability. " I could feel his eyes on me again before he moved back to his place against the tree.

"You should get some rest. We have a long day ahead of us." I stayed silent for a minute before turning my head slightly. I soon heard his breathing steady, and I let out a breath that I hadn't realized I was holding.

"You don't know me, Sesshomaru," I said to myself as I held my hand up and watched the blue of my power run through my veins.

Unknowns POV

As I walked through the door, I could hear silent cries coming from the back of the castle. I made my way to its source and found my master wailing in the gardens.

I wrapped my arms around them and quietly hushed them. "I told you, one day she would return to us,"

"Do you think she will resent me for sending her away?" My master looked at me, tears still streaming down their face.

"You only did it to save her. If anything, she'll be happy that you loved her that much." I rubbed my masters back and helped them to their feet.

"I hope you're right."

"Everything will work out for the best, trust me. I'm keeping a close eye on her. Besides, she has Gemini with her. " I started to guide my master back into the castle.

"Good, that means she's not alone." My master removed themselves from me and went on inside.

I turned to face the moon. It will be a long night for me, but the days leading to the young lady's return would be even longer.
