"Just keep walking, just keep walking," I told myself. The sun rose in my body as I wobbled very slowly down the hallways of my new high school.
Jodie hissed, whispering to me from the side of her mouth, "Stop walking like that, " she complained, "You look like a penguin."
It wasn't just the sea of hundreds of students shuffling by me, in this new and unfamiliar territory that made my movements strange.
But I had to walk like this because of the uncomfortable friction I was experiencing.
Against my better judgment, I wore the crotchless panties Jodie had given me with my high waisted jeans. Now I was chafing, and with every stride, my poor lady rubbed against the material.
If you think this is a pleasant sensation. Let me stop and explain. It feels like a brillo pad or something dry and coarse was giving me a handy.
Like the ultimate wedgie, It hurts.
"You should have warned me against wearing jeans" I snapped as tears formed in my eyes.
Jodie laughed, tossing her long Prussian blue waves over her shoulders, " I forgot. This is the first day of high school, she reminded me, "try not to be weird."
I groaned, pulling the rubber-band like material out of my ass, "It can't breathe!" I complained.
Jodie had gotten the wrong size, and now my poor private was looking like a pucker fish stuck in a net.
"You can take it off in an hour!" Jodie reminded me.
I sighed, unhappily looking at my schedule for the day. The halls were filled with pleasant chatter, laughs, and the busy bustle of fresh sneakers, running up and down the tile floors.
I had to admit it was a beautiful and comforting scene. The school was filled with welcome banners, streamers, and smiling teachers waiting by their door.
Jodie groaned, "I have fucking English first. I hate reading, " she complained, slamming her locker.
I smiled, I loved school. It had always been a pleasant experience for me, learning came easy and so did a good group of friends who would promise to bring laughter and crazy adventures.
Don't get me wrong! I wasn't a nerd, but the idea of barricading myself in the library every lunch and getting lost in my favorite books was enticing.
I was hoping for a nice balance with the rise of adulthood lurking just around the corner. I wanted to do new things like joining the dance crew, the science club, and hell, who knows? Maybe Jodie could talk me into going on a mini-golf double date.
All I knew was this year was going to be great, I would make sure of it.
"Eww what is the hell is Jodie the Whore and Grace No-Body doing here?!" a nasal voice laughed, approaching our lockers.
I didn't have to turn around, I knew that horrible raspy voice belonged to no other than Faya P.
Faya had been messing with me since middle school. She was our class bully and thrived on making herself a notorious mean-girl. She had made several people cry in her short span of existence.
Jodie shot back, "We are grown women now who won't tolerate you're..."
Faya scrunched her eyebrows, a curl of disgust shaped her lips, "Didn't you get deported?" she asked rudely.
I could see Jodie seething, as her brown Malibu eyes seemed to jump out of their sockets. She took a step forward as if to lunge at Faya.
I dragged Jodie away before a fight ensued, "Don't pay her any mind." I lectured.
