It feels warm and cozy. What a bright day it is!

I live here alone, the only thing of bed lies in my room, and I don't go in there mostly. Most of the times, I would just pass out on the floor or lay down on the couch.

I tied up my hair into a high pony tail and got myself into a pair of short pants and a tank top. Who cares how cold it is? As much as I am concerned, I don't. I pull a baggy hoodie over my head and it hides nearly all of my tattoos.

I pick up my bag and get into the car.

I park it in the parking lot of St. Joseph College.

As usual the hall is hushing down with whispers and sushes. I pull my hoodie up, trying to drown their voices and thinking that they aren't even talking about me.

But, somehow I know they are talking about me.

And, I catch on that there is a new topic too.

"A new guy in the town".

Whoever it is, I don't care.

"So, apart from having sex by the bridge with a stranger, you go to a respectable college too", my heart jumps with that sudden voice near my ears and I hold onto the metal of my locker to not squeal out.

Those brown eyes enter my head.

"So, apart from having sex by the bridge with a stranger, you too go to a respectable college", I bite back at him.

"I thought you would be a bit surprised", he said rushing behind me.

"Oh, what a surprise that I wasn't surprised", I bite back.

I walked into the canteen and got myself a sandwich.

He was still following behind me and I made out, that he was the guy everybody was talking about.

"Didn't you get any chic to goof around with?", I asked, irritated.

I wasn't used with company. And not surely during my breakfast time.

"Aren't canteen food horrible?", he asked.

"Aren't boys just sticky asses?", I commented back and was rewarded back with a laugh.

Rewarded? Hell I don't care.

"Don't you have anyone else to annoy?", I asked.

"Like who particularly?", he asked back.

"Look around you, too many people ogling at you", I answered.

"Not too...", he drawled as he took a notice of his surrounding and then said, "many"

Is this boy really that unobservant? How can't you notice being on spotlight?

"Anyways, no one is like you though", he shrugged.

"I won't argue with that", I said throwing the tissue paper into the dustbin in the corner.

I had barely gotten my breakfast when a girl comes near me. Not, another, drama.

I sighed out audibly.

"You! How dare you sleep with my boyfriend?", that girl says, anger seething down her skin.

"Eh! Isn't your boyfriend at fault too. I mean, he must be the one to make the first move, I must have just followed suit", I answer.

"And as much as he is at fault, you are at fault too. You knew that he is my boyfriend, didn't you?", she snaps her fingers at me.

"First things first, I don't even know about whom you are talking among this whole male species of this college. And secondly, if I don't know his name, what shall I do by knowing his relationship status?", I answer back leaning to the wall.

"You bitch!", the rage in her increasing multifold as she starts to raise her hand in an attempt to slap me.

I don't budge, not even once as the hand stops mid-air and the boy who was running after me is holding it.

"Violence costs lives", he shrugs.

That girl frees her hand and looks at me, no, glares at me.

"You are nothing but a whore", she smits back.

"Well, I didn't say otherwise", I say coolly as she scoffed and scurried away.

"I guess you are hella popular in here", he laughs from beside me.

"Unfortunately. Although, her rage was right though. She was hurt, angry and pained. She deserves better than the guy who was her boyfriend; well past tense in case she is wise enough to let him go and think through head; or use present tense if she is a fool enough to believe her heart.", I sigh taking out a cigarette.

"Then why did you do it? Have sex with her boyfriend?", he asked me.

"Didn't you hear? I didn't even know his name, let alone his relationship status. He started first and I followed suit. Anyways, she is better off without him", I scoff and take in a puff of smoke.

"Well that's...", he paused, not knowing what to say.

Believing your heart and following it, is a foolish action. A really really really foolish action.

"Have you slept with the professors yet?", he asks jumping over his feet to the parapet and sitting comfortably.

"Maybe a few young ones", I say trying to remember.

"Wow! You are really something", he says chuckling.

"I am nothing special. Just smart enough to plan, bold enough to do, and strong enough to walk past it", I say back.

"That's quite a self praise", he says as I crush the stub under my feet.

"You call it self praise, I call it knowing one self too well", I answer facing him.

He just grins wide.

"It's a fool's action to grin so wide at nothing", I say clutching my bag tighter.

"Who said I am grinning at nothing", he says walking behind me.

"Because there is nothing amusing", I answer. He just laughs.

"Now if you excuse me, I have to get something", I say and he raises a brow at me.

"Stay away, kid", I say before turning around the corner and walking into the narrow path that leads to a secluded tunnel.

I see the person in black hoodie who has his head tucked so nobody would see him and walking slowly.

"Did you get what I asked?", I ask him and he grins wide before flashing the packet of white powder in front of me. I reach out to grab it but he ducks it back.

"Remember the deal?", he asks and I roll my eyes.

I roll the sleeves of my shirt up and reveal the inked arms. Despite the lighting being weak here, you can pretty much see around.

"Good", he smiles and hands me the packet as he makes sure there are no scars littered on my inked skin.

"What good does it do to you by checking upon me? Besides, you give me these half the price, doesn't your boss get at you?", I voiced out.

"I am the boss", he shrugs.

"What good does it do to you by checking upon me?", I ask again.

"Just to know that my precious customer isn't dead", he smiles.

And, I huff out, rolling my eyes.
