6. Unexpected

We were packing all our things for returning home. I was hell excited. While going back, I sat with her... This time not due to situation but because I wanted to. We all drove in silence.. It is killing me! I can't stay in silence. I looked at Agni who was listening to music on her phone, chewing the corner of her nails. "Why are u all so quiet?", I whined and Sohail and Saumya didn't react while Vikas and Vidya exchanged looks. "What happened??? Wait wait wait... Did u guys have another fight?", and silence in reply. "oh god! What was the reason behind the fight?", I asked them. "Chocolate", Saumya briefly replied looking at her nails. "What?", I asked surprised. "He took my goddamn chocolate and now he hasn't even said 'sorry'", she said. "Wait.. First of all I had given that chocolate to u which gives me sole right to eat it whenever I want..", Sohail said. And there 'Tom and Jerry' show starts.

At least it's more entertaining. I looked at Agni. She was still engrossed in her mobile. Man... She is phone addicted! I snatched her phone from her. I saw there were some text messages and before I could see anything else, she snatched it from me. "Man.. Don't u have manners?", she whined. "Whose messages were they?", I asked. "Personal", her brief reply.

"Guys... There is a party at Raj's at nearly 8 PM.. Who is going?", Agni said looking up from her phone. "Me", an unison reply from everyone except me. "R u not going?", she asked me. "No..", I replied. "Why?", she asked. "I don't fit into parties much..", I replied. "Then u have to come", she said. "I don't wanna come", I whined. "Who asked u? We r ordering u to come...", Sohail's turn. "Oh.. U r here? Ur cat fight is over?", I asked to ignite the fire again. "Yeah.. Twins!", they both exclaimed. "Whoa!", I groaned. "So.. U coming?", she asked. Her eyes pleaded but she tried her best to cover up. "Okay", I said. Why has it to be always me to give up?

Ahh... Home! There is no place like home! Sweet... I crashed onto my soft bed. Oh wait! I took out the charm she gave me. It still hung round my neck peacefully. A smile crept up my face as I saw it. Beautiful.

Now after I had changed, Sohail was here to pick me up to Raj. It was a normal party. Teenagers swinging with their cups of drinks and some in the corners... You know for what... Sohail disappeared among the crowds and I could find no recognizable face.

After a long run if 15 minutes, I ran into Agni. I hugged her with all my might. "Whoa whoa! Nerdie! Did everyone disown you to ur own?", she choked. "Literally... Yeah!", I said shaking my head to the sides. "Drink?", she asked. "No way... I hate drinking...", I said. It was then that I noticed that she had a few bruises on her hand and anyone can barely make it out. I was about to ask her about the bruises but from behind me came Riya.

As per rumors, Riya and Agni were worse of worse enemies. So they don't fit into the same room. But there had even been rumors that they were best of best friends once... But no one knows why they are enemies. Now I was standing between the two most popular and hot girls of the college. "Ex cause me..", Agni said before going away for drinking. So... It was basically a but awkward for me to interact with Riya. "So.. Darshan.. I wondered if we could date...", she began. My eyes opened wide. I turned my head towards her. "R u serious?", I asked. "Yeah.. I mean.. I love u a lot.. From the first day I saw u... You are so kind, sweet and caring..", she said looking into my eyes. Her metallic gray eyes searched answers in my eyes.

But... I never had such feelings for her... I just saw her as a friend. "Should I take an 'yes' for answer?", she asked. Don't tense.. Don't tense. I nodded in a 'yes'. She immediately broke into a toothy smile and pressed her lips against mine. Tightly. I was taken aback. I didn't know how to react. Slowly, my hands trailed around her body as her hand roamed around my hair.

Finally when we broke the kiss, she had a smirky smile on her face. While we panted for breath we looked into each other's eyes. "Will see u around", she waved off. It's weird. Strange girl.

I don't know... I just went in flow. Now.. Where was Agni? I went outside to search for her. I saw a figure standing near the pool smoking. She was really high man.. I went to her. "You are here? I was searching for u every where..", I burst up. She was quiet. "Isn't the sky full of mysteries... Yet it looks too simple..", her sensible ranting started. "yeah.. It is.. Now do u want me to drop u home?", I asked. "No.. I will go..", she said. There was a but of eerieness in her voice. "But u can't even stand properly..", I protested. "No Darshan.. I will go..", she said.

She was mad at me. "I wish.. we never met..", she said. Surprised I asked, "Why?". "B..b..bcoz .. U take.. All .. My.. Pain away..", she slurred. "Now.. What pain does the bitch has?", I joked. "The..pain.. That .. The .. World doesn't.. Know..", she said. Okay.. What was she talking about? Out of syllabus.

"let me drop u..", my voice trailed behind her as she went out. I have never seen her house.. Nor has anyone else seen. It's like she has a different personality hidden behind the bold mask of "the bad girl". "Hey Agni..", one of the guys called her. "Hey Ronak..", she hugged him. "Wanna spend tonight?", he winked at her. "Sure..", she was drunk. Wholly. I didn't know what to do. It is in her personality to sleep with every other boy and now she was drunk.

But if she really wanna spend the night with him.. Why should I protest? Let her enjoy. But the thought of her making out with someone else churned my heart into pieces. It felt like I was broken into random jigsaw puzzles who won't fit back gain ever.
