A WEEK SINCE I SAW RAGINI in the library. A week of feeling restless. Why did her reading about wizards and witches made me want to clarify myself to her?

Why did I wanted to tell her that they don't exist, that I don't exist.

Why did I feel so attracted to her? Why did I want to save her everytime?

I wasn't this. I wasn't someone who cared for others. The only people I was close to was Mitali, she was my only family.

My friends, were close to me but they were humans they possibly didn't know how dark my life was.

And yet, the girl who just entered the college has me attracted to her. The way she defended the presence of witches and wizards for a moment made me think that she was one of us.

That she was a witch.

But then seeing how helpless she was when the girl was on the tree made me think that I was wrong that she was amere human.

Why?

I saw her everyday in college, she was always with Radhika.

The one thing I noticed and am sure no one else did was how she stole glances with Anish. Did she like him? But she just came.

I had to distract myself from her. I had to stop myself from whatever I was doing.

The cafeteria was completely silent, it seemed as if a bomb was blasted. I looked around to see our table which was strangely empty.

And then in a second I heard a shrill scream, the voice came from the passage and I quickly went there.

Ragini and Shanaya.

Frankly, it was hard to understand as to why Shanaya hated Ragini, but she certainly did and left no chance to trouble her.

I went closer and saw Shanaya drenched in pink milkshake as her hair turned white and pink. I subtly tried to hold back my laughter like others. Ragini had a smirk on her face as she dropped the plastic mug on the floor.

"Baby, now this is called Revenge." Ragini added in her sweet voice as Radhika, Anish and Varun glared at Shanaya.

"You bloody-"

"Go on," Ragini encouraged. Shanaya was a witch and I clearly knew it. She was a very ambitious person and was greedy for powers. Her fighting with Ragini was almost baseless.

Shanaya's mother- Tiwari Ma'am was a very powerful witch of her clan which made Shanaya extremely powerful too.

Then why was she behind Ragini?

"Listen, you human, I can kill you for this," Shanaya whispered to Ragini so that none could hear her except me. I had a strong hearing power like other witches and wozards.

"Try me, baby," Ragini winked as she left the site.

Shanaya, was shell shocked by her reaction which made me curious too. Was Ragini really a human? I had to confirm it.

I quickly headed back to garden where behind the tree I used my powers to bring a potion.

A potion which would confirm Ragini's human or witch.

A drop on her and if it burnt, she was a witch but if it didn't then was a human as I thought.

It took me almost an hour to find Ragini, she was with Anish, again.

My eyes hated the sight to see her with any man.

"Ragini," I called as Anish left.

She turned back and smiled sweetly at me.

"Yeah?" She asked me.

"Uh.." I hesitated. Should I?

I should and with that I emptied the entire liquid on her.

She didn't shout in pain, instead.

"What the fuck was that?" She angrily looked at me as I had drenched her dress.

"I..I am sorry," I said as she looked at me angrily.

"Why the heck did you do that?"

"Uh..uh.."

"Uh? What?"

"Happy Holi!" I wished as I realised how dumb I sounded.

"Sorry?" She laughed as her eyes shone brightly as her laughter filled the passage.

"I want to be your friend," the words left my mouth before I could comprehend them. She stopped laughing as she looked at me surprised.

I gulped thinking she would turn my offer down, "I would love to be your friend too," she said as she smiled.

I smiled back as we stood there for a minute until she turned around smiling and leaving.

She is a human. And my friend too.

I have been just a real busy these days, with everything approaching;

I will be extremely less active on wattpad. Like i dont think i ll update anything new, if swap mostly. My reading would reduce to.

But i ll be active atleast thodha nonetheless.

As i am less active on wattpad i miss lots of noti, so if there is sowmthing imp tag or pm me❤️
