The hot sun raised an scorched the boarded up windows of the apartment building and the tall skyscrapers, the dirt and car filled road with who knows what else, the sun would glared off the remaining glass that was on the surrounding buildings , the scattered and shattered glass that lined the roads and side walks twinkled in the subs powerful Ray's making it bright to look at.

A about a hour later the boys all got up with a yawn. Hunter spread out on the couch as he made a weird sound with his stretching, Jake on the other hand was already up and went to see if they had any water, the three had been walking for weeks with only stoping and resting at night, this was their first home for a while after the explosions happened , rottening land that was within 30 miles of it, the people that lived their had it even worse the radiation was so high it broke Geiger the closer you got, but most people were killed in the explosions, the ones that survived turned into mutated monsters doomed to forever walk the earth till some one put it out of it's missery.

Mile yawned and sat up from this make shift bed on the floor since they had dragged the matresses out to the living room and made a big bed with the rest of the used to be furniture in the apartment.
Though this room was theirs they didn't care what other would think if other survivors one day found their cleaned up short term home but the boys knew this was the best place to stay, in a rabid in infested city with bandits and others they'd earn the trust of In the upcoming months.
Hunter sighed and watched Jake before he sat up with a grumble he then began to rip through his bag, while miles just sat and watched in amusement.
"Your acting like a kid getting his brithday gift!"he laughed and smiled before titling his head as the mixed pulled out a journal, hunter had tons of them ,he loves to write not only that he charted everyday the next morning. Writing it down so if he were to die someone would at least know his story he'd hope.
The boys then moved the stuff and locked the door to the floor with a key they found, they then went out scavenging, looking for what they can that would help make the place feel more like home. Jake soon wondered off for a few hours not finding much as the others came back as well, the ols broken Down city seemed liked it was looted from travelers Along the way to the great lakes and Canada.

Hunter yawned before rubbing his eyes he then sat on the sidewalk after swiping it off, making sure he didn't sit on glass or metal. The last thing they needed was to have one of them hurt on the road.
Jake then smiled and laughed Abit before running his hand through his mane, he then watched his two fellow comrades as they sat, Jake him self prefered to stand he never had much problems with his legs from hurting when standing or running and walking for long period of times. Sometimes he would even run on all fours if necessary, that's why he wore his fingerless pawed golves.
Hunter snickered at Jake's laugh before he yawned and stretched ,the cracking and expanding of his bones make a loud sound everyone heard

"Jezz you that stiff?" Miles asked as he blinked at hunter like he just broke every bone in his body.
Hunter smiled and shrugged "haven't stretched in a really long time so I guess" he said leaning back on a car. He then yawned and rubbed his eyes before stopping as he remembered he had a gasmask on. Hunter then sighed and huffed before looking at his two friendd. He smiled and shook his head.
"What??" Asked the two with big grins before Jake sat down as well a him and miles watched hunter.
He laughed and smiled back "nothing, nothing just how did I get stuck with you two?" He asked as his smiled curved into a smirk that teased them.

Jake and miles shurgged before laughing Abit
"Thank God you did or you'd loose your mind" miles responded with a toothy grin before he sighed and rolled his head on his shoulder trying to crack it. "My necks so stiff it could be made of rocks!", He smiled and watched his two comrades laugh.

The three then sighed and looked up at the apartment building before they all went back In to get a good night's rest before packing up and heading out, again they still needed to figure out where they belonged.
As the scorching sun to set, making the hot bare wastelands into a lively cold barren city, rabids would crawl out and explore looking for food sometimes they even attacked each other just because of how hungry they were, the now red and purple shifting into black and stared scattered sky settled apound the wastelands that was once a great home for animals of all kinds.
