An Apocalypse for the Damned

ch. 3"oh Lord here we go"

   as the night pressed on the rabids stared at the building with some wonder before moving on, looking for something to fill their forever empty stomachs.
   Hunter sat up looking around making he didn't wake the others,he then sighed and headed to the bathroom bored out of his mind so he decided to go take a shower and soon after he changed ,before stretching,as he sighed he ran his hand through his fur before sitting down. He then looked up at his comrades before snickering he then leaned back and smiled. "Oh what would I without you guys,-" he asked before jumping as one of them replied
  " Go mentally insane , get killed, eaten " Jake said sitting up and stretching.
  Hunter growled " you fucker! You scared me " he said ending with a small laugh of a amusement.

" Oh my God?!"he said looking at hunter "really!?, I did ?" He asked with sarcasm. He then would snicker and smile before ruffling the fur on Hunter's head.

  Miles then yawned and mumbled before looking around "ahh, what a night" he said looking at his two buds.
They all blinked and looked around before laughing they then smiled before getting ready.
  Jake was putting his pack together as miles stretched, hunter was looking around to see if the apartment was hiding any food.
  Miles watched hunter as slid on his boots and fingerless jet black leather gloves "whatcha doing hunter?" He asked titling his head before pulling his bag up on his back as he grabbed his rifle "we already stripped the place" miles said as his jaw opened wide while a yawn came out.

A few hours later the apartment building fell slincent as the small group had left, they were at least 20 miles away from the place by now. They were taking breaks and having to fendoff rapids.
  Hunter cursed them out a whole bunch as he shot them down ,he soon switched to his knife since his sniper wasn't good with close combat. He swung at the flesh crazed animals infront of him, the beast leashed out and snarled snapping his teeth at hunter, the fur and flesh were rotting away from it's bones but it's teeth were well kept. Letting it tare into the flesh of others easily.

  Hunter yelped and barked as he swung at the rotten male.,
"Kicker!little help!I'd like to keep my head" he growled as he looked at the lion.

  Jake glanced over before back up with a leap backwards ,he then lifted his rifle and shot the angry rabid in the head. The rotten mangled bear fell down to the ground, making a loud thud sound scaring the other rabids.
  it scared the shit out of them
Causing the sane ones to run off knowing the biggest one of them had just be killed, the others stayed to driven by hunger it drove them made wanting the flesh of their own kind.
  Hunter and miles growled in frustration, swing at the infected they a felt bad but the rotten walking corpses had attacked them first.
  After about ten or fifteen minutes the small battle was over, panting and sighing they all took a small break.
Miles cleaned his bat and mumbled staring at the ground as hunter laid down with a huff. Jake Being Jake looked around for any more who would fall under his rifles fire zone.
  All of a sudden they looked up, hearing something fall across the street from them. They all got up in an instant, they all knew it was another rabid. Or so that's what they thought,they came to see a survivor stuck in some rumble, there also was a faint whine of pain coming from her.
The three of them went over quickly to help,the more animals alive the better as along as they weren't a threat.

After a while they managed to move all the rumble off the animals body not seeing what breed she was untill they saw a fox, her clothes ripped Abit and her ears were back as her tail was tucked between her leg. The fox looked up at them nodding her thanks before she slowly got up but she stumbled and almost fell.
Miles caught her and looked her over "wow, slow down we did just get you out of a bunch of rubble" he said as he rubbed the females back,

  She looked up and smiled at him " thank you.." she said before closing her eyes seeming completely exhausted.

  The group watched before Jake smirked "oyi a female", he said snickering before winking at his comrades, the group laughed before miles picked her up on his back,they then continued to travel wanting to be free of the rabid city.

  As night rolled around the group knew they would have to find a place to stay before the cold winter weather rolled in.
