Chapter 20: Wanting to Lose the Battle

Sorry for not updating sooner but I was busy with enrolling in college and then getting everything ready. But finally I got everything done and got used to my new schedule. I hope you love this chapter.

POV: Sadie

I could still feel the warmth of Falcon lip on mine even now two hours later. I don't know when it happened, but Falcon has found his way into my heart in just a short amount of time. Everything in my body and soul screams to me to be near him. To have another kiss. To stay in his arms for the rest of my life. I want everything of that and more, but I can't at least not now.

As I stand on a cliff gazing down into Ground Vil I know that no matter what my heart wants I should keep focus. My only goals are the survive of my family or what is left of it. I must stay away from him, or I'll burn him. Destroy him into the ground, like I have done with everything and everyone in my life.

"To win any battle, you must fight as if you are already dead." Kane said as he stands beside me facing down toward Ground Vil.

"What?" I ask with a confuse look toward Kane.

"Miyamoto Musashi once said, 'To win any battle, you must fight as if you are already dead.' You already fight like that. Like you are not alive, as if you don't care if you live or die." Kane turn facing me and took hold of my shoulders. "As you looked over the town your face showed once again the determination and resolution of another battle. You are going to battle what you are feeling of that biker. You are going to fight it with everything in you, but we both know this will be a battle you will lose. So just led it happen. For once, just once don't put up a fight. Let your heart lead you, feel what could be so beautiful." He pulls me into his arms as he hugged me like if trying to protect me from myself.

I hugged him back because I wanted and need the comfort, he always made me feel. I really want to follow my heart and run with what it feels but this is just not the right time to do that.

"I can't, at least not right now. I need to focus on what is truly important, my sister's survival." I said as I pulled away from his arms.

"Sad- "before he could say another word, I interrupted him and said, "not now Kane, I need to go find Ronny and head back to my sisters I have been gone a long time already." Kane just nodded and led the way down the path toward Ground Vil.

After a short walk down the cliff and looking around town, we found the guys outside the Ground Vil Museum. The first person to notice me walking towards them was Falcon and like always the calmness return to my body. Falcon started to walk towards me when little Emerson push him out of the way.

"Aunty Sai! Aunty Sai you are here!" Emerson jumped in my arms while screaming the name he always calls me since he learned to talk. "Will of course I'm here! I need my dose of my little m&m!" I said as I hugged him close to me and pepper kiss his chubby little face, while he giggles uncontrollably.

"No aunty Sai, not in front of the ladies! Your killing my street credit!" Emerson said why pulling his face away from my face.

"Will, I didn't know showing my love to my favorite nephew will lower his reputation. My bad mister macho." I said while putting him down and turning away from him while fake crying.

"Ohh, don't cry aunty Sadie you know you're one of my favorite girls. Your like top two." Emerson said while sending me a wink and a flying kiss.

"Ahh, you're my favori- wait I'm not even the number one! What the biscuit Emerson! I thought I was the number one! Fudge the number one! I thought I was the only one, but now I know how it is. I looked at him like I was hurt.

"Don't worry Little Paradise you'll always be my number one and only." Falcon said while hugging me from behind. I instantly move from his arms even though all I wanted was to stay in them.

Before I could say something to him Emerson got between us and said, "Hey! Back off man, didn't you hear she's one of my ladies! The disrespect is real! Come on aunty Sai I'll let you buy me an ice cream or two. I'll even through in a kiss for you." Emerson pull me away from Falcon while throwing him a glare.

I turned to look at Falcon and saw that everyone who saw the little show laughs at him. Even though I didn't want to I gave him a little smile, which he returns with a much bigger and brighter one. A smile that took my breath away and gave him another piece of my heart.

Kane was right, this will be a battle I will not win. Maybe this will be a good thing, maybe I don't want to win this battle and I shouldn't win it.

Everyone was sitting inside the ice cream shop call Vil Ice Cream Shop. The best ice cream shop in Ground Vil, maybe in the hold world. Emerson is eating his ice cream while playing in the little playroom inside the shop. Everyone else was sitting on three tables we joint together so we could finally talk about what we came all this way for.

"Where is Ronny, Jack?" I went straight to what I wanted to know; I already wasted some much time way from the girls, I need to head home and fast. I have a feeling things are going to get harder.

"His in the mental institution." Jack said no clinch.

"What the hell Jack! Why is he there?!" I said while standing up.

"The dumb ass tried to escape and in doing so he fell down the stairs and hit his head. You wanted him alive, so I sent him there. Now he is surrounded by soft walls. Nothing will hurt him and he is happy with all the medication." I just looked at him like he was stupid.

"Come on let's go find him so I can decide what to do with him and then we head home." I said as I walked towards the door.
