Twelve.

Friday July 12th 1:08pm 2019

I packed a few bags full of things i knew i would be needing and Colby and i went back to his apartment. The whole car ride i was shaking, i couldn't get the image of Parker grabbing me out of my head, it kept coming back to me in flashes.

"you alright?" Colby spoke, "yeah yeah im okay just a bit shaken is all." i said playing with my hair. "it's okay Maddy, you can stay at my place for as long as you need and i will come back to your apartment with you if you need anything else." i nodded in response. Colby was so sweet and i felt so much graditute towards him for being there when i needed someone the most in a situation like that.

We got to Colbys apartment, he helped me with my bags and then as soon as i got inside i plopped down on the couch. I was exhausted from my sleepover with the girls and from the situation that just accured. "I'm just going to put your things in my room" i heard colby say as he walked into his bedroom and set my bags down on the floor. I could feel my eyes getting heavy as they started to close and then eventually i completely feel asleep.

A few hours later i woke up with a blanket over me and i was alone in Colby's living room. I got up from the couch and went into Colby's room to grab my phone out of my purse that was sitting on Colby's floor next to my other bags. I checked my phone and there was a message from Colby that read: "Gone out with Sam, be back soon." it was very polite of him to let me know he had left. I sat my phone down on Colby's bed and began to wander around his room, looking at all the things he had on his dresser, his rings, his cologne, little knickknacks. Then i wandered into his walk-in closet and admired all of the pieces of clothing he had hung up and tucked away into hanging shelf's. He had such good style, i loved it. I found myself admiring every article of clothing he owned, I wanted to try everything one to feel like he was with me. I caught myself in a downward spiral of thinking about Colby and how much I like him and how my feelings grew so quickly, which has never happened to me before. I have never been so in awe of someone before, I've never had these school girl butterflies flying around my stomach, cheeks blushing and smiling from ear to ear time feeling about anyone before; it was terrifying yet so exciting. I walked into the kitchen to see what Colby had in his cabinets, I feel like I haven't eaten in days. I opened a cabinet and found a box of lucky charms, my lucky day. I poured myself a bowl and ate it in second, then I poured myself another and then put the cereal back, I didn't want to eat all of Colby's cereal. I put my bowl in the dishwasher seeing as that was the most logical thing to do when you are a guest in someone's home. I headed into the bathroom to take a shower because I felt disgusting after my much needed nap and needed to scrub off the day. I scrammed to find a towel and finally found one in Colby's closet. I went back to the bathroom, turned on the shower and hopped in. The hot water felt so nice and I felt like I hadn't had a shower in days and as if this was my first shower in months. The only body wash in Colby's shower was men's scented body wash as I guess I would be smelling like a man for the rest of the day. I washed my body and my hair and then stood there in the hot water for a moment with just my thoughts accompanying me. After what felt like an hour of standing in a hot steaming shower I finally got out, wrapped myself in a towel and wandered over to Colby's room to get changed. I grabbed a pair of sweatpants out of the my bag and a tank top and laid it out on the bed and began to dry off. As I was drying off my body I heard the door open from behind me. I turned around and it was Colby. "Oh shit, sorry Maddy." Colby said as he closed the door. I quickly wrapped myself back in my towel and mentioned to Colby it was okay and he could come in. Colby stepped into the room and apologized once again. "Sorry Maddy, I thought you might have been crawled into my bed to sleep because you weren't on the couch and I wanted to check on you." I giggled as he looked so apologetic for walking in on me and not even seeing anything he shouldn't have. "Don't worry it's completely okay." I said sitting down on his bed and he sat next to me. "How are you feeling?" He asked pushing his hair out of his face which made my heart race. For a second words couldn't slip through my lips because I was in awe of Colby like I have been since day one. "I'm alright. Bit stressed and I have to go to work tomorrow and after today I don't want to." I said with a big sigh. "Perhaps call in and explain what happened and maybe you'll be able to get some time off. They have other assistants right?" He said with a smile. "Yeah they do. I'll call in a bit and let them know. I won't let them know all the details but I will tell them briefly about what happened." Colby then wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into him and all my worries went away as I melted into his arms. He stood up and began to walk out of the room. "I'm gonna let you change and then we can hangout for the rest of the night if you'd like, order food maybe?" He said opening the door. "Sounds great" I said with a smile as he walked out of the room closing the door behind him. I pulled my towel off and put my sweatpants on and pulled my tank top over my head, tied my hair back and slipped on some socks and walked out of the room to where Colby was sitting on the couch on his phone. I sat down next to him and he immediately put his phone down and focused all his attention on me. "How was your day with Sam while I was sleeping?" I said curious to know what he had done today. "It was good. We hung out at his apartment for a bit and went through some ideas for some new video ideas and then we had a meeting with our team and then we got grabbed a bite to eat and now I'm back here." I stared deeply into Colbys eyes as he talked and I was in complete bliss. It is if he as some sort of trance on me and doesn't matter if he's talking about all the different types of rocks or the most interesting story about one of his amazing adventures I am in complete awe of everything he says. "Sounds like you have a pretty eventful day." I said with a slight smile. "You are correct, and the entire day I knew I would be coming home to you." My limbs felt weak as he ran his fingers through my hair after telling me he had been happy to come back to his house and having me there when he arrived. I felt like this was a dream that I never want to wake up from. I knew I had to ask this question that may mess things up but with the things Colby had told me I hope it doesn't. "Colby...what are we?" God, the dumbest and most embarrassing question you can ask. Colby didn't answer right away, he just smiled. "What do you think we are?" He asked which was not the answer I was looking for, but to be honest I did not know what answer I was truly looking for. "Friends..?" I said with a slight hesitation. "Friends? Huh" I felt that's not what he wanted to hear and I was scared I had upset him. "More than friends? I don't know. I need input from you as well" I said pushing his shoulder back, to which he laughed at. "Well...things between you and I have been going smoothly since the day I met you and I really like you and I'm pretty sure you feel the same. So let's just say we are not interested in anyone else and we are together but not dating." He could of just said we were a thing. "So we have a thing?" I said with a smile "yes. That's what we are, but I hope you'll be okay with me calling you my girlfriend in the future" my heart beat so fast I thought it was going to explode and I was going to become a puddle of happiness and sweat on the floor. "I am perfectly okay with that." Colby smiled and slowly grabbed my face and kissed me with just as much passion he did the first time we kissed. We hadn't kissed again since he kissed me at my apartment and I had been waiting for my lips to meet his once again and my wait was now over. He didn't stop the kiss this time, he continued and I never wanted it to stop. His lips were soft and tasted of mint and oranges and my his breathing was heavy against mine. Colby grabbed my hips and pulled me closer and I let out a soft moan as he did so, which causes Colby to part his lips from mine and bite his lip which I could feel as he was still so close to my face. He began to kiss me once again as he ran his hand to the small of my back and just left his hand there and the warmth of his hand against my bare skin make my body become hot. Are we about to do what I've been thinking about doing, was the only thought that ran through my head. Colby pulled away and looked me in my eyes which were in full puppy dog form and he said with such a soft voice, "you are so beautiful maddy." Blood rushed to my cheeks and I heard my heart scream his name from inside my body. I smiled at his compliment as he kissed my forehead and went to go to continue kiss me once again but I dodged and stood up. "What's wrong?" He said with a confused look on his face. "Nothing...I'm still tired so I'm gonna head back to sleep." I said with a smirk as I left a kiss on his neck and walked back to his bedroom as he let out a sigh like moan as I shut the door and crawled into bed all while screaming on the inside.
