IV~Eventful evenings

I stirred in my sleep as I felt warm, not noticing anything out of the ordinary as i turned in bed, although i wasn't able to which confused me, but then i noticed that my body was pinned in a way so that i can't turn around. I groggily opened my eyes as the only thing i see are blue orbs staring back at me. I instantly stiffened at the sight then i remembered something last night, Clade.

"Good morning there sweet angel~"

He said with a smirk as his hands were around my waist as he pulls me a bit closer to him to which i tried to get out, but of course he was stronger than me so i gave up and hid my face from the embarrassment of being held in another person's arm, not to mention that it's a guy

"Well aren't you flustered early in the morning"

He said to me as he chuckled quietly as he continues to stare at me

"C-can you s-stop hugging m-me..."

I asked while stuttering like an idiot, he chuckled again as his arms retracted as I take this opportunity to jump from my bed to get as much space as possible as I ran out of the room and into the bathroom and started to shower, erasing my current thoughts away as the cool water hits me with a force which was optimum as is a finished up, brushing my teeth first before leaving and entering my room. I slowly opened the door to see if he was still there but to my surprise, he wasn't there

"Thank god, he isn't here"

I sighed with relief as I enter my room and locked the door for good measure as I got dressed and headed out, not before hitting my face on the door as I forgot to unlock at. Unlocking the door this time, I opened the gently and stepped out before going down stairs to see the place is busy

"Well if it isn't the cute little angel I've been hearing all about~"

Someone cooed as i look at the bar to see a demon smirking in my direction. Oh great, i'm already occupied by Clade and now there's another. I wonder if they know each other...

"Are you gonna just stand there looking pretty or what?"

"H-huh?, oh, r-right!"

I rushed towards the bar to serve him as he chuckled and ordered as i bring him his drink

"Thanks, Nathaniel"

I froze for a second before i turned back to meet his gaze as he smiled at me

"How do you know my name?"

"Oh, you know, word gets around. My name's Thirsai"

He said with a more genuine smile which caught me a bit off guard as I only see him with a grin or a smirk. I nodded instead as i got back to my own duties, then Nasreus enters with a different set of clothing, but this time it was more casual. It suited him a bit more than the attire he had last time, doesn't he feel hot wearing all of those fabrics?

'You'll be surprised by how hot it can be wearing them'

I yelped as Nasreus was seated beside Thirsai as he gives me a smile, I composed myself as I smiled back at him

"Hey there Nasreus, what will you be having?"

-A few hours later-

And so the day went by, me and Nasreus chatting away as Thirsai flirted with every patron that came up to us, although he still kept an eye on me for some reason which I didn't know why, but i knew better than to question. The day turned into night as both of them left after leaving some gold to which I placed below the counter where there was a money box as I hid the gold and snapped the box shut. The three of us gathered again as the tavern is closed for the night while David thanks the both of us

"Today was more or less a successful day"

"Is certainly was"

Clade chimed in as he had his smirk plastered on his face. doesn't he get tired smirking all the time?

"David, can i ask you for a request?"

"Yes Clade, what is it?"

"Might i request to live here as I already work here, you see, I'm homeless at the moment but didn't want to bother you both, but seeing I might be working here for a long time, I wanted to ask now"

Clade explained with a more serious look as he looks at David who was thinking it over

"Well alright, I suppose that would be more convenient. We don't have any more rooms currently, but you can sleep with Nathaniel in the mean time. Is that okay with you?"

David said as he turned towards me and asked, I was about to protest but Clade spoke again

"I'm sure he wouldn't mind that right?"

He said with a knowing grin looking at me as i recall the events of yesterday night as a blush threatened to creep over my face as I shake the thoughts away as I answered them

"I-I g-guess he can..."

"Great!, now since everything is settled, you two should head to bed"

We both nodded as we said our goodnights and headed to my room with Clade following beside me, we entered and we went over to my bed and lay down on it, I yelped silently as i felt of arms wrap around me as i turned around to be met with deep blue eyes staring at me with a hint of softness to it which made me relaxed a bit

"Are you comfortable?"

He asked as he pulled me closer to him, my head resting against his covered chest as i felt warm. I nodded against him to which he just smile at me as he lay his head on the top of mine as i didn't protest to the sudden closeness. I mean, he's a complete stranger, but he's gentle with me as we lay in bed. He may act flirty in public, but i'm guessing he's sweet on the inside. He was concerned about me and came to my aid yesterday which was surprising, but also had a theory that he set that up on purpose.

"You should sleep you know?"

I almost jumped as Clade spoke softly above my head, which means he wasn't asleep yet

"What're you thinking about?"

He said as he lifted his hand to play with my hair, the small gesture made me relax more as I leaned in closer to Clade, not noticing i was leaning in as I hear a soft chuckle from him

"Goodnight angel"

That was the last thing I heard as I drifted off to sleep in someone else's arms, strong, caring and warm arms
