My fics can have only a few hundred reads and be as high up as fics with thousands of reads. My fics will DROP ranks as they get more and more reads, it makes no sense.
(no, i'm not asking you to explain it to me, don't even start trying to do that, i will ignore you, i don't actually care how the algorithm works, okay)
And like? Certain tags just have fewer fics in them, so yaaaay you're so highly ranked in a tag with like, 100 books max. It just continues to make everything in Wattpad a competition and makes people feel more self-conscious about low numbers. In this essay, I will-
Just let tags be used for their organizational purposes. I don't know why that's so hard. Literally every other website does it just fine.
Set up your fucking game, Wattpad. Stop it with these useless features, it's so duuuumb.
