"Sierra, quick we don't have much time left. We must hide her before they come." Nathen grimly tells his wife as they hurriedly make their way to their 7-year-old daughters' room, knowing their time is running out.

"Alex, Alex wake up" Sierra whispers, while also shaking her awake. Alexandra woke up, rubbing her eyes to ride herself of the grogginess. Her parents seeing that she is awake start rushing her out of bed and towards their room where they then put her in the cupboard.

"I'll go call my sister to let her know its time while you take care of Alex" Nathen said before turning to face his frightened daughter and kneeling down to her eye level and embracing her in a tight hug. "I love you so much Alex, never forget that. No matter what happens. You are special, more than you know and you more then any other little girl or boy is going to face many hard and terrifying challenges when growing up because you are so special. But you were born a fighter and no matter what, you will always emerge standing, it doesn't matter if you don't always win. It's whether or not you continue fighting that matters. Me and your mother love you so much and will always be with you, in your heart, through every step of the long journey ahead of you." With that said, Nathen gave her one last tight squeeze before leaving the room to call his sister.

Sierra looked at her daughter with tears running down her cheeks. She pulled her daughter into a tight embrace, wishing that this moment would last forever, but she knew it wouldn't which is why she pulled Alex away from her until she was at arm's length and spoke to her in a firm tone so that she would understand the severity of the situation. "Alex, you need to listen to me carefully and do exactly as I say. I am going to put you in the roof and no matter what you hear, you must not leave until either my, your father or aunt Alissa calls you out. Do you understand?" She asked in a frantic voice, knowing that her time is almost up. They would be here soon. Alex slowly nodded her head, still unsure of what is happening but still somewhat understanding the gravity of the situation.

Hearing a loud banging downstairs, Sierra knew that her time with her daughter, and possibly her time on earth, was up so she pulled her daughter in for one last quick hug before lifting up the loose panel in the roof and slipping Alex in and closing it, effectively hiding her daughter from the evil men downstairs who want to take her away.

Deciding it would be better to go down stairs instead of them finding her upstairs near her daughter, Sierra rushes downstairs only to be knocked out before she even reached the bottom of the stairs.

~~~30 minutes later~~~
Sierra and Nathen ground in pain, waking up to find themselves in the living room, tied to separate dining room chairs. The men had not yet realized that they were awake as two of them were currently engaged in a heated argument.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CAN'T FIND HER" The first guy yelled.
"EXACTLY WHAT I JUST SAID, WE CAN'T FIND HER. The second guy yelled at the first.
After going back and forth with each other, a third guy points out to the other two that Sierra and Nathen are awake. Turn to the married couple, guy number one gives them a sadistic smile, one that promised immense pain.
For the next hour and a half, the three men tortured Sierra and Nathen trying to find out where they hid Alex. But it was no use. Not knowing why the girl was so important, only that the king wanted her dead, they decided to just set the house on fire.
Leaving Sierra and Nathen tied to the chairs, the three men set the house on fire, leaving the pair to burn before returning to the palace where the king waits for the news of Alex's death.
Meanwhile, Alex was trapped listening to her parents screams as they burnt alive in the fire, trying to open the roof to go help them only to find that her mum had somehow locked it. Soon the fire spread upstairs, but instead of burning Alex, it wrapped her in a protective blanket, somehow stopping the debris from falling on her and crushing her.
Soon Alex passed out from inhaling to much smoke, only to wake up in the ruins of her house. Curling up into a ball and crying for the lose of her parents, of her HOME, Alex didn't move until her Aunt showed up, helping her into her car and driving me away from the ruins of my life.
