Chapter 4: The Almost Accident?
Di ko alam kung bakit ako tinatamad bumangon sa kama ko. Hindi na nawala sa isip ko ang sinabi ni Lolo kagabi habang kumakain ka nun ng dinner.
"Alessia focus on the food not on anything else," malamig na sabi ni Lolo. Nanahimik nalang ako tsaka tinutukan ang pagkain ko. Katabi ko sa Mommy samantala kaharap ko Lolo na katabi niya sa Dad.
"What brings you here dad," tanong ni Dad kay Lolo.
"Why are you asking? Am I not allowed to visit your house Jake"
"No it's not that, I'm just curious"
"Hmmm... I'm here to take Alessia with me in the States,"
Nabulunan ako nang sinabi ni Lolo. "Why Lo? I'm fine here in the Philippines. Why do you want me to go with you?" dami kong tanong sa Lolo ko. Wala namang problema sa studies ko.
"For business purposes," WTH?! For business purposes?! Hindi ako laruan para paglaruan.
"What kind of business purposes?" tanong ni Dad.
"An arrange marriage," parang confident na sabi ni Lolo. Wtf?!
"I don't think so Dad. My daughter is still 17 she's not allowed to marry someone. And my daughter is free to pick who will be her husband," pagtanggi ni Mommy sa sinabi kanina ni Lolo.
