Sorry for not updating. I took a break from the three stories I am currently writing because of school and I a project I really need to focus on. Now that's down, here is the long-awaited chapter of I Guess? I think my update schedule should be back to normal but I don't know. So don't quote me.
"So... what's wrong Kat-love~" Eijiro sang, trying to calm my sour mood.
"Nothing!" I fumed, just thinking about the sofa made my face heat up.
Eijiro did as I asked, he focused his attention back to driving. It was a quiet ride to Haru's school.
__
After picking him up we shot straight to the vet. Haru's had requested his 'papa' to get their quickly. So in a span of 10 minutes, we parked at the place that should have taken us 20 minutes to get there.
I got out of the car's passenger seat, trudging over to open the car door for Haru. Helping him with his buckle. His face was sparkled as I carried him out of the car. Placing his body that was currently shaking with excitement and anticipation. Onto the solid ground. He immediately bolted towards the big bright vet clinic.
"Haru!" with a sharp call, I tried to gain the attention of the excited boy. Not even sparing a glance at me, he burst through the doors of the clinic. All I could do was sigh. I was going to scold him later about how dangerous that was. It was a good thing this wasn't such a busy area with lots of cars going in and out. Or we would have had, a serious problem on our hands.
"Haru is really excited isn't he." Eijiro calmly said next to me, a small smile was placed on his lips.
"Yeah, well he's like his father in that aspect." I snarkily agreed.
"Is that a compliment?" his said teasingly.
"Yeah, yeah whatever," I said as I strolled towards the clinic doors, ignoring Eijiro's child-like giggle.____
After about an hour of filling in forms, and buying products for our new dog. We finally headed out. Haru shot to the car. Bouncing around the car doors. I leisurely walked besides Eijiro. With a small smile and carrier in a firm grip, containing the newest addition to the Kirishima household. Snoring peacefully.
A soft yawn escaped my lips. I was tired, very tired I just wanted to go home and rest but I knew I had to make dinner. We strolled to the car in the bare parking lot. The sky that was once bright now dark and gloomy.
The fact that my entire mood hand a 180 turn just from just being with my family for a few hours really did surprise me. My entire sour mood from earlier gone, almost like it never happened. Though my entire thought on needing to change was something else...
Being with my mate- no Eijiro and Haru is something I love so much. Though I will never say that. Okay maybe to Haru, but most definitely not to Eijiro.
___
Immediately after getting home. Haru vaulted straight to the front door. He bounced at the stairs ushering us to move faster.
"Mama and Papa are to slow and old..." he discreetly whispered.
Not knowing I heard every little word he said. Eijiro beat me to a reply.
"Since we are so old maybe we, can't, take care of a dog, maybe we should" Eijiro pretended to turn around and head towards the car. "Return her..."
"NO!" Haru shrieked in fear, he charged towards his father wrapped his tiny arms around his father's one leg. His arms were not long enough to wrap around his one leg. "I am sorry you and Mama aren't old. You guys are very strong and fast. Don't twake doggy pwlease...:" he pleaded with his father.
After a few seconds of deary silence, a quiet giggle was heard. Eijiro exploded out in laughter
"Calm down...I wouldn't do that to you." He wiped a tear from his eye. "I was only joking."
Haru looked up at his dad. "You were jwoking?" Haru silently stared at his dad. Eijiro nodded.
After confirmation, Haru's face contorted into one of anger. His face turned red.
Maybe you shouldn't have gone that far...
The thing about Haru was that he was like his father most of the time, but...
"YOU-YOU LWIED TO ME!" He howled at his father. Little sparks making their way on his body.
When he got angry he was just like his me.
"Ha...ha, Haru calm down okay, papa was just joking, calm down..." Eijiro wanted to hug Haru and calm him down but right now wasn't the best time to come close to him.
You see Haru was an early bloomer just like me. HA! But his quirk was the problem. Haru's quirk like me was related to explosions. It wasn't the kind you had total control over, like mine, it was still powerful. When he activated his quirk little spark would appear around his body, they looked like sparks you would see on sparklers.
They surround his body and float around him for a bit before setting off tiny explosions. They would explode on impact, of anything really. The floor especially as they mostly floated down. The main reason I or Eijiro didn't want to come close to him was that. It would also explode if anyone came into contact with it. Whether a family member or not. Eijiro could harden himself and deal with it, but it still stung a bit.
They looked very pretty and not so harmless, but they packed a punch. Haru was still young and couldn't fully control his quirk, so when he was emotional his quirk would often come into action when he felt a strong emotion, mainly sadness and anger. The sparkles were increasing by the second before Haru could set our house on fire. Eijiro hardened his back and shoulders, and any other parts that would be exposed to the sparks. He pulled Haru for a tight hug, to calm him down. Haru wailed in his arms a bit hitting his tiny fist against his father's broad shoulder. Squirming around a bit more in his father's arms he slowly quietened.
Soon soft snores could be heard from Haru's slumped form. The sparks slowly disappearing, he had fallen asleep from exhaustion.
Eijiro looked at me, with his eyes widen in surprise.
The small innocent looking boy who was now snoring in his father's arms had caused all this mess. Burnt marks could be seen all over the floor.
He had been at elementary school all day then we had gone to the vet and stayed for a while. He must have felt exhausted then Eijiro teasing must have thrown him over the edge. The look on Eijiro's face, and plus the memory of what add happened earlier made me snort, which soon turned into full-blown laughter. It was way too funny that such a cute little boy could make such a disastrous situation into such a cute and adorable one.
I really love my family...
