Warning.

Yes, This is a warning.

Six chapters into this story and I realised it might be a good idea to have this.

I know the frustration of starting a book and realizing it's not what you have in mind. This is why I'm writing this warning with everything you might need to know before committing yourself.

If you decide to just go ahead with the story, (bow down) be my guest. Thank you for giving this story a try but don't say I didn't warn you~ :P

If you decide to read this warning, I need to warn you that it is going to be long too.

A little background of me (because I can). I actually had another story published earlier that seemed horrendous after awhile. I wanted to fix it but was stuck. So I dropped that and started this. (to that one person who read "Living it Twice": If you are reading this, yes I'm talking to you. I don't know who you are but I sincerely thank you for reading. I apologize for the sub-standard. Please let me know if you are actually waiting for the continuation. I really want to fix it but am pretty reluctant.)

To be actual warning:

1) I am bilingual in English and Chinese. English is officially my first language but my English is definitely not at the level of a native speaker. I do try my best to write in proper (or at least understandable) English. Please do pardon my English throughout the story.

2) I can be pretty long-winded. I find it irritating when things are not stated clearly. For example, if there are more than two people conversing and the author did not write names, I can never guess who is saying what. I mean, I get confused during groupchats on Line and they have the names. I am not sure if I am the only one but I will still be as detailed as possible. I do try my best to shorten my sentences though. I am also trying not to include unnecessary information (e.g., irrelevant explanation).

3) Similar to my previously-published-now-unpublished story, this story is inspired by the Chinese novels I read. Teleportation and resurrection are very popular topics for Chinese novels. I am a huge fan of these. However I realized it's not as common in the English department. I am not sure if it was due to bad searching that I couldn't find similar stories. I decided to write this for 1) my own entertainment and, 2) for others that may be interested. Especially those that don't read Chinese.

4) Writing this story made me realized that a lot of the jokes I read were only applicable for the Chinese language. This is quite a disappointment because I really wanted these jokes to be made available in English. Nevertheless, I would try my best to be as entertaining as possible. After all, I am the author. Hopefully I can come up with good enough jokes on my own.....

5) I am pretty anal about alignments and spelling. That is the major reason behind the constant amendments. I did come up with a solution (if you read "Not a Chapter", you know what I mean). I do a lot of proofreading (at least 5 times) before publishing a chapter. However there are times when a word or two escapes the eyes (anything can escape the eyes after the boredom sets in at the 3rd proofread). All important changes will be stated in the Ling's corner. You can ignore the rest.

6) I did not explain the entire background of "Darkness in Light" outfront. This may be confusing sometimes but I promise you will ultimately get the complete picture (or so I hope....).

7) I love a main character that is in-his-own-world and a little hard to understand but actually really nice. If you read Gintama and loves Gintoki, you most likely know what I mean. If you don't, dont worry. As a lover-of-details, I'm gonna describe him to you. Liam has a vivid imagination that runs off to outer space sometimes. He loves to crap (being really lame...okay, maybe it's me not him). He can get a little crazy too. On the other hand, he cares and protects the people he loves. You can mess with him but never mess with his family and friends (you might not know how you died). Other than being physically weaker than Josh, I gave him every possible privileges ("the golden finger" in Chinese). He is the main character after all. As for Josh, the original protagonist of "Darkness in Light", you will have to read to know.

7) I offically categorized this story under fantasy. Special power is a big part of the story. You can also consider this story as an Adventure. I also try to make it a Humor (but kinda think that's not really working). Of cos, it's a story involving two (straight-turned-gay) boys falling in love so please go away peacefully if you aren't into that.

I believe that is it. Like I said, it's a long warning that I felt was necessary. I truly appreciate that you spent time to finish this (trust me, even I got bored halfway and stopped to eat dinner instead). The same goes for those that read or tried to read the story. Thank you very much and bye~
