Prince Adrien Pov

Sabine burst through the wooden doors of my chambers, red in the cheeks, attempting to catch her breath.

I looked at her, curiosity written on my face.

"Why are you late?" I ask as she finally collects her self. She straightened herself out before showing her usual soft smile.

"Sorry, your highness. My child and husband fell ill this morning so I had to make sure that they stayed in bed" She replied. I looked at her. Her family fell ill and yet she's still here to do her job rather then look after them.

I felt guilty.  She looked at me, she seemed confused.

"Are you alright your highness?" She asked as she started to do her usual chores, straightening  out my bed sheets first.

"Why are you here rather then looking after your child and husband?" I ask her. She stops fidgeting with the quilt and looks at me.

"I have to, can't buy their medicine if I don't go to work plus I need something to make sure my daughter doesn't do anything" She explains briefly.

Then a strange thought came to my mind.

"I could keep an eye on her if necessary" I blurt out. Not really thinking.

"Are you sure. My Marinette can be stubborn" She questioned. I nodded.

"Yeah I'm sure" I reply.

She gave me a smile, then said "Follow me".

I followed her out the room, out of the palace and down the busy streets of BridgeHollow.  We stopped in front of a bustling bakery. I noticed someone at the front, handing out pastries. She had raven blue hair that reached just below her shoulders in small waves. She had red, pouty lips formed in a perfect smile. Then her eyes. Her eyes were some many shades of blue, they were magical. Her small button nose was quite red as well. She wore a cream white off-the shoulder dress that hugged her curves in the perfect way with a black lace corset with matching ankle boots.

We walked into the bakery I held the door open for her, I removed my hat.

Mrs Cheng walked forward, straight through the crowd of customers. I followed behind her muttering apologizing as I went.

"Marinette" She gasped as she gently slapped her hands.

"Young lady, you are on bed rest. You should not be working" Mrs Cheng said as she pulled her aside. I followed them as well.

"Mama, I'm fine." She said. I blinked, then it clicked. This was Mrs Chengs' daughter.

"You're ill young Madame now back to bed" Mrs Cheng ordered gently.

"Mama, I am fine, its just a small cold. Plus we need the extra money for Papa's medicine" She explained with a smile. Her smile, God.

"Err, Mari, honey. This is Prince Adrien. The young man I work for" Mrs Cheng announced looking over at her shoulder at me. I nod my head slightly as she looked at me.

"Hello, your highness" She greeted with a small curtsy, I smile at her.

"Hello miss Dupain-Cheng" I reply.

"So Mari, hon. Prince Adrien is gonna keep an eye on your, make sure you stay in bed and I'll run the bakery" Mrs Cheng said. Marinettes' eyes widen in surprise.

"What" Her voice was small, as she spoke

"Mari, show his highness around" Mrs Cheng said. Marinette nodded and signalled for me to follow her. I did so, willingly.
