I woke up from the deep slumber
When in my dream you passed by
Though seeing you only
With shadowy image
A familiar scent lingered
The anisette spirit of your virility
And the surge of sweet memory
There was finite excitement
Though I watched you in pain
As you slowly disappeared
On the narrow dimness
Of sudden joy and dying hope
Yes, it was only a flash of light
For a time remembered
But my heart will live forever
In the realm of silent cry
Silhouetted against the cloud
Of the darkening sky.
