You're like a miracle that came into my life,
Into my gym class,
That miraculous phenomenon started as I stood next to you,
That odd feeling of safety and security,
The way I would stand in front of the door,
And you stood next to me up against the wall,
I felt oddly comfortable,
I started to notice you,
As you would practice shooting basketballs,
Your flawless jump shots,
The flawless gesture your hands made as they threw the ball in the air,
Then I noticed your eyes,
Your deep blue-green eyes,
Each day I noticed them more and more,
Those eyes had compelled me,
Into your spell,
The spell that makes me feel out of place,
Unworthy,
And so within myself,
That I can't find the courage to come out of myself to you,
Yet I am yearning to know you,
I want to feel alive within you,
I want to know what sets you off into insanity,
I want to know what makes you laugh,
What makes you cry,
And what your desires of this world are,
I want to travel the world,
I want to wake up to you every morning,
With those eyes looking at me,
As I drown myself into you,
As you pour yourself into me,
So your arms can hold me and keep me safe,
Safe from the trials of this world,
This soul is vacant and losing its light,
Restore my light,
Make me feel alive again,
I am within myself,
And without you.
