Chapter fifteen:

She could tell just by looking at this girl, and the feel of her magic that she was definitely royalty. Thinking back to Angel Flyway, the girl she had fought against in the exam, Elizabeth shook her head slightly before blowing out a puff of air; she decided that this girl was most likely a snob. Thinking back to the Captains as well, Elizabeth rolled her eyes to herself, she felt that snobby behavior was just how most of them acted anyways.

"I'm an expert at magic control, and nothing else, I can show you the ropes." Vanessa commented with a kind smile while pushing forward to stand on the other side of Elizabeth.

"Come on, let's get started on our journey." Asta declared while stretching his hand out for the unknown girl. Elizabeth stood back with her arms crossed, while she watched along side everyone as the girl took Asta's hand. She watched the small blush that rested on her cheeks as her brother pulled the purple eyed girl to her feet. She had tears in her eyes. Elizabeth watched for a moment longer before she shrugged. Maybe she wasn't as bad as she thought she might be.

After the incident outside, all the Black Bull members were once again inside and were about to enjoy a meal. Asta was stuffing his face while Elizabeth sat beside him eating slowly, she liked that she didn't have to eat those dry pop-potatoes so she always tried to eat things slowly to taste them better. All around the table the different members either sat eating their breakfast or drinking their morning coffee. 

"So I've been meaning to ask, what does an order of Magic Knights do anyway?" Asta questioned while crumbs lingered on his cheeks. Elizabeth paused with a spoon almost on her to her lips before glancing around the room at the others at the table with a nervous smile on her lips. The Magic Knights were just a stepping stone to their dream; of course they had talked about how they were going to survive through the order of knights. But they had never really sat down and talked about the actions that knights actually take. Though she never dreamed her dear brother would ask something so dumb without talking to her about it first. 

"Really? You're seriously asking that? We protect the country, and guard the VIPs; we work for the man! Why the hell did you join one without knowing!?" Magna almost screamed while partly leaning over the table and grabbing hold of Asta's vest. Elizabeth stared at the interaction with a raised eyebrow before finishing her bite and pushing the empty bowl away. She scanned the table with a small smile on her lips as Vanessa, Luck, and Gosche threw in their own ideals while Asta looked around taking everything in. 

After everyone was done eating, Asta walked side by side with Noelle while Elizabeth walking steadily behind them. She wasn't too keen about this royal girl quite yet, but even she couldn't deny the moment that her brother and the girl had shared outside hours ago. She was more than surprised to hear that the girl had such an interesting name, something about it made her think about her own unique name. When she was younger, Sister Lilly had told her that she had held an incredibly special name, one that sounded almost like royalty but she had never put too much thought into it. After all, she was just an abandoned orphan girl who had absolutely no recollection of anyone before the church; there was absolutely no way she could ever of been related to royalty.

Pulling herself out of her own thoughts, she watched as Noelle stayed glued to her brother's side. Asta did what he did best with this girl; he tugged at this stranger's heart strings and gave this random stranger confidence. That's one more thing Elizabeth admired about her brother, he was so kind hearted that most found it impossible not to open up their hearts to him. 

"Now then, you three get your first mission." Magna said loudly snapping the older girl from her thoughts, bringing her back to the present. All three new recruits stood in the main entrance room where Magna stood confidently with his hands on his hips. His words caught her interest the most though, back in the village she was constantly keeping busy with chores, they kept her body moving and her thoughts from dwelling on any one thing for too long. 

With all of the downtime she's had while traveling with her brothers, and even getting into the Magic Knights, she couldn't help but feel bored. Sure there was a bunch of different magic for her to learn now that she was around so many powerful people, but she hasn't had the time to actually play with them. To say the least she was certainly thankful for something new to do. Something to keep her mind from wondering if Yuno was okay in that different squad. Just thinking about the dark haired boy made her pause and frown in worry. She knew he was powerful and that he would get chosen by powerful people but there's just something echoing in her mind that's telling her he shouldn't be there alone. 

"You'll be in the village of Soshy, hunting a boar." Magna without missing a beat while looking on at all three of them. The boy's voice was soothing enough to pull her back from her worried thoughts, and when she focused back on the matter at had she couldn't help but smile wildly. 

Magna recognized that only one face seemed to light up at the notion, and it was most certainly not the one he was expecting. Both Asta and Noelle were dumbstruck as they stared at their superior in shock. An image of a tiny boar passed through both of their minds before outrage filled their beings. Both teenagers felt as though they got the short end of the stick and got a crappy mission that no one else wanted. It was definitely not something they thought they would be doing right after joining the Magic Knights. 

"What's with this shitty mission!?" Noelle exclaimed before Asta jumped in after her exclaiming he could beat a boar with his bear hands. Magna yelled back at them for being so ungrateful for the mission chance while Elizabeth stayed silent. She had never seen a boar in person before, and she was more than excited to see one up close. A light blush came to Elizabeth's cheeks as a cuter, more desirable image of a baby boar with a pink bow on one ear floated through her mind; it was extremely different then the image the other two had. Her heart fluttered at the thought of something so cute; she absolutely loved animals. 

"I lost a bet with a guy, and the loser of the best was to do one thing the other asked. In order to bring profit to his village, he was trying to get one thousand gold pieces in one go and he did. When people have a lot on their shoulders, they're really quite strong." Yami said loudly coming from a separate room that connected to the entrance one. He had heard all of the yelling and came out to see what the problem was. 

"Hey! That had nothing to do with us!" Asta screamed and Noelle agreed with him straight away while Elizabeth looked a little saddened at the thought that she might not be able to see one. 

"So, are you going to go? Or are you going to die?" Yami said intensely while glaring at the two of them; while doing so he noticed the happy and relieved expression that rested on Elizabeth's face. After the two of them hastily said they were going Yami smiled a little bit and gestured to Elizabeth with his free hand. "Plus, it looks like your sister is excited to go." 

Asta turned his head and saw a light pink blush on her cheeks. He thought it over for a moment before he realized that she must've been excited to see the animals. He knew she loved them. "Oh right Elizabeth! We're gonna see a boar!" he said excitedly and smiled big when a wide smile came to her lips and the blush darkened on her cheeks.

"Yes!" she agreed happily before she was pulled away by Asta who was talking about getting pumped up. Everyone around them stood silently with small blushes of their own on their cheeks. They had never seen Elizabeth look so cute and vulnerable; there was no doubt in any of their heads that she was beautiful. Even Noelle's cheeks were tinged pink from the sight. 

"Wow." Magna whispered while his sunglasses were pushed up on top of his head so he could rub his face. He couldn't deny it now, he thought Elizabeth was gorgeous, and her little giggle and blush made him want to be around her even more than before. 

Yami blew out some smoke while looking around at the other two in the room before shaking his head. These siblings were definitely something else, and he had a feeling that they would save everyone in his squad someday. They were definitely going to change everyone's hearts.
