"So, who exactly are you?", The male with the glasses sad with a discrete tone of voice.
"Oh, um...my apologies, I should have introduced myself in the first place. My name is Lucas Anderson, age 27, and I've been stranded here for quite some time because of some major airplane crash that occurred a few years ago. I unexpectedly survived the crash and to be honest, it was like some sort of miracle I was granted with. After a couple of months and major weeks of no food or water, I felt like I was on the verge of dying literally. One day, I wandered the woods for a couple of hours, roaming around like I was some lost child until I reached a destination that was far from my shelter which is this cave. The sounds of those...creatures were heard and I knew by self-experienced that they were near. At the moment, I began to panic and..."
"Did they try to kill you?", Theodore asked.
"Well...apparently they did but I managed to escape when I caught a sneak peek of them. Yet, something did happen...", He trailed off, averting his eyes while looking down at the floor with a disappointing face.
"What had happened? Are you some kind of half-demon half human kind of thing or what?"
"I mean...yeah, it's kind of like that...but not really..."
"Tell me, I won't react inappropriately or in a way, you wouldn't want me to react, I promise.", He said with a far too honest tone.
Lucas places his hand under his chin, cupping it. He then sighs.
"One of the demons were following me for months and I guess they tried to haunt me or sabotage me, or maybe they tried to lure me into some kind of trap. When the stalking and unrecognized following continued for days, weeks, and months, I finally felt that light switch turn on one day when I woke up from sleeping. I thought I was freaking out or hallucinating, I thought to myself that it probably because I realized I haven't seen an actual human-being in quite a long period of time but that totally wasn't it. On that day, I began to distract myself with many hobbies I did around the woods. I continued my daily routine of living my life until night came. A loud and pounding sound of my heart beating was unintentionally like I was panicking but I really didn't intend that I was. I turned and looked around my surroundings and I sensed something. I knew that someone or something was near. I knew it wasn't a human so after I thought twice I had a feeling that it was one of those bastards...those...demons. And it was then I realized that it wasn't anywhere near me...I found out that...it was inside of me. Because after looking around my surroundings I looked down at my stomach, finding a lit up cluster that floated directly forward, thus forming into a very short kind of creature that I intended was a demon. It obviously was...I felt frightened, but at the same time I...somehow didn't."
"Hold up, hold up! It was inside of you?!", The taller male surprisingly blurted out.
"Yes, indeed, and just so you know, it's actually inside of me right now but, it only appears when night comes."
"Well, night is literally coming either now or never! Oh geez, is it dangerous?! Is it like really, really evil?!"
"No..absolutely not. It's actually pretty harmless but look...", Lucas says, pointing at the skin of his face.
Theodore gasps and looks at him with pity. His skin was dry and it looked to be withering and slowly fading away. He looked pale as ever.
"I don't have much time to live...a few more weeks and my body's going to be taken."
The male with the glasses felt like crying again because he was gonna be lonely anytime soon after his disappearance but he either one of them couldn't give up now, especially for Lucas. Like, what if there is a second option and he can continue to live? Theodore could only hope and not do what had to be done because there was no courage, faith, or power to try and do so. And y'know...there might not even be a way to save his life so laying low is the only option he could pick in the puzzling dilemma.
