A bright light reflected against the man's vision. He squinted and furrowed his eyebrows. He yawned and rubbed his eyes to find out that there were tears running down both of his cheeks.

"What the...why am I crying?"

He suddenly remembers a glimpse of the crazy scenario that happened in his dream. Everything was sinking in, like objects getting sucked into a black hole. He understood now...the thoughts puzzled together in an instant.

"Holy...no...it can't be...what does this even represent?"

Loss. Is what he thought for one singular moment. He turned away from pondering and felt his backache. He totally didn't sleep well...it was all because of the uncomfortable concrete floor. Jeez, lucky for Lucas he had a sleeping bag. Wait, speaking of Lucas...

"Hey Theo, you awa- oh god...are you o-okay?", A soft-spoken voice appeared out of nowhere spoke aloud.

"Huh? Oh, right...yeah I'm totally fine, I just dreamt of something and woke up in tears for no reason. Well, actually there is a reason and it's because of that nightmare I guess."

"Oh, then you should probably warm-up and get ready for today. We're gonna go on a small hike to the flower field! That'll get your mind off things if that's what you need. Don't worry, I'll be there for you, always.", Lucas smiled as his face hovered over Theodore's laying body.

"Thanks, I really appreciate it. Also, about last night...does that demon of yours have a name or something?"

"Yeah, absolutely. His name's Darniuk."

"That seems interesting. I'll make sure to get to him tonight then. I'll probably be finding more about this little guy."

"Then so be it! Come on, wipe those tears and let's go!"

"Ever so soon? I just woke up and I'm feeling pretty hungry."

"I'm pretty sure I have some food in that corner over there.", Lucas pointed.

"W-what?!"

Theodore couldn't believe his eyes. He was truly astounded. Bags of chips? Ready to eat food? Take and go snacks?! What?! How?! There's no way that was right in front of his eyes.

"Thanks to Darniuk, he's able to use the matter in his body to make all sorts of things. Like all sorts of foods and items. But, he has to know how it looks like and since he's pretty smart, he sometimes gets what I mean...and I mean most of the time."

After Lucas's saying, he felt arms wrapped around him and a chest impacting his.

"Thank you so much! I-I don't know how to respond to this!"

He was literally crying joyful tears. Theodore felt like this was the most blessed day of his life. Which, kind of was, but aside from all that, this adventure might be full of granted wishes and purifications that will make him succeed in life.

"Heh, no problem man. Anytime."

Theodore smiled and back away, wiping his tears, looking at the person right in front of him who was also softly smiling.

"Also, there are some breakfast sandwiches over there hidden somewhere in the corner. I recommend you try one, they're really good. And also if you're wanting some drinks then you should fill up your canteen bottle with the water in the lake. It's pretty clean, not gonna lie."

"Alright then!", Theodore says as he walks towards the corner of the cave, grabbing one of the sandwiches as he caught his eye on one.

He unwrapped the package and brought the sandwich to his mouth. He took a bite of it and smiled in such ecstasy as he chewed it thoroughly. He turned around and walked to where Lucas was, sitting in front of his.

"Well? How is it?"

"It's pretty good!", He said as he took another mouth full.

"Tch', knew it. Alright, hurry up so we could go to the lake and then the flower field."

Theodore took another bite and then another. And another...until there was nothing left in his hand except the plastic. He stuffed it in his pocket, carelessly. Lucas stood up and gave out a hand to the older man so he could grab a hold of it and stand up. And so, both of them were standing up, dusting themselves so they could avoid any dirt that was stuck onto them.

"Welp! I'll be your GPS for today, Theodore Green."

"Okay then, lead the way, sir!"

They both laughed and Theodore packed his stuff, following Lucas as soon as they both were ready to leave.

"Where to first?", Theo asked.

"Uh, duh, the lake."

"Okay then!"

...

Since it was already almost November, there wasn't any bright and beautiful atmosphere that covered the surroundings of the place. There was just gloomy and empty-like feeling that the atmosphere gave off. It's been like this for literal months. Since the day Theodore got here. A cold breeze passed by the tip of his nose and his cheeks felt cold to the touch of it. It made him shiver but he steadied himself and tried to control his body that pleaded for warmth. It was all good though...for now at least. Lucas was explaining lots and lots of stories on the way to the lake. He was speaking a lot but that's what prevented both men from awkwardness so Theodore was relieved to say at least.

They reached the lake and by the looks of it, the water seemed to be definitely clean and fresh-looking. The man with the glasses dropped his backpack and unzipped it, taking out his canteen bottle.

"Welp, go ahead. There's you're chance to actually have a taste of that really freshwater. Trust me, it's really good."

"Yeah, I could tell.", He said as he approached the water.

He took off the cap and dipped the bottle into the water. It felt cold and every single molecule of the matter made his hand tingle. It swished around and as he took out the bottle drops of water fell back into the lake. It looked calming and was mesmerizing to watch. He could even see his reflection that jiggled every time a droplet fell. He put the cap back on, turning back to Lucas, notifying him that he was done here.

"It's pretty right? The way the droplets fall back into the lake...and of how your reflection shows whenever you hover over the water. It's like a mirror..."

Theodore nodded and smiled.

"Yup, totally."

 "A-anyways, should we get going?"

"Nah, we could hang out here for a little while."

"What, you want to observe the fish?"

He pointed to the left of the lake.

"Have you ever tried catching one?"

"Totally, but I haven't caught one since Darniuk arrived into my life. I used to catch fish a lot with one single wooden spear or even my hands but I stopped doing it so yeah."

"Oh, I understand, alright-prepared-snacks are pretty much better and easier to manage anyways."

"Yep."

"Okay, I take it back...let's go to the flower field."

"Yay! I can't wait to show you how much beauty that place holds! It's like a wonderland, you'll love it!"

"Oh, I'm sure I will..."

"Come on! Let's go!"

He smiled so much a sparkle shone as he looked at the older male. As Theodore stuffed the canteen into his backpack, he stood up and both of the males turned away from the lake, heading towards the flower field. Theodore didn't know what to expect but something adoring.
