They both hiked up countless amounts of hills that were flooded around the area. Theodore didn't know it would take this long to get to a flower field. Wait...the more he thought about the flower field reminded him of the seed that the lady had given to him. But, he didn't have the proper materials to plant the seed. Unless...improvising might be a good way to get through it. I'll see, is what he thought.
Hill after hill, step after step, and rock after rock, they walked in momentarily silence from time to time. After an extraordinarily not-so-long amount of time, they arrived at the trail that led to a glimpse of solid-red petals peaking out, one by one. They were, of course, flowers and they looked to be freshly blowing in the cold, calm breeze. Both of the men walked over to where the flowers were. Underneath that was covered with a lively mat of grass that also blew in the wind, following the rhythm of the flowers. Everywhere Theodore looked was mostly covered in flowers and grass. A dark and delicate shade of red and green. Those colors were everywhere and it lit up the atmosphere like a candle on a dark and starry night.
He inhaled the fresh air that represented personality, smelling like blooming roses that were right in front of his eyes as he took another step. He knelt down and examined the red petals. It looked so divine and the deep red color couldn't make his eyes escape. Beatitude streaming with every piece that created each of the petals. And as he observed the plants, all he could do in the meantime was to let go and make his mind escape into a reality where peace was settled. It felt mesmerizing...until he heard a rustle of Lucas sitting on the grass. He looked at Theodore and cocked his head.
"Beautiful, isn't it?", He asked.
Theodore nodded and gave a short smile in return to his response. He turned away and stood up, walking through the small field of the divine flowers until he was at the edge of the cliff.
"Um, I suggest you be careful.", Lucas said with a slightly worrisome tone.
"Yeah, I'll be fine, don't worry.", Theodore spoke in return with a flawless voice.
He stood at the verge of the small area and he had no tint of fear in himself. Not even a thought of fear had gotten to mind, he continuously just stood there with an empty and priceless expression that showed nothing. No emotion. No feelings. And especially no fear or worrisome. Although, a small touch of sadness had bloomed upon himself. He had somehow given in with some dark thoughts that tended to slowly overfill his already-deprived mind that was starting to get a little worse. He tried once again to look away. To just let go and breathe in the air. Happy thoughts...although he still wished yet, it didn't happen. Static, the black and white moving dots started to move in his vision. All he could see now was just those moving dots that had an eerie feeling to it. He closed his eyes for a matter of seconds. He opened them and he was back into reality with tears falling down every second he tried to blend in with the feeling of happiness.
He totally had given in. He gave up...and maybe he needed to. This was even more time to shed tears that were in need to be shed. Lucas in the background didn't really do anything, he understood how hurt how the man was, but he also knew that he just needed time to have these sort of things to himself. That's why he sat there like a calm human-being looking at the flowers. The sound of Theodore sniffling and constantly wiping tears was heard but were distant and inaudible. He rubbed his temples and he frustratingly continued to sob. He furrowed his eyebrows while his eyes were closed. The static sound started to pick up again but the sound of his heavy breaths overpowered it.
"I miss you, I miss you, I miss you so much...", He said in between sniffs.
He crouched down and picked one of the flowers off the ground were it used to bloom. He brought it up to his face to examine every one of the petals. His attention dragged down the green and fluent stem. The thorns poked out flawlessly. It was a sight for sore eyes. The marvelous flower stood out like it was the only thing that the man had to put his attention on, which was what he was currently doing. In one single snap, he remembers the seed that the lady had given to him. He held the flower in his left hand and grabbed the seed from his pocket with the other. He pulled it out and the seed laid peacefully in his hand. He put the flower down and walked down the hill. The man ignored Lucas's appearance and walked to an empty spot where it was near the other flowers.
