Chapter5: Dance little liar

5 days later.
Alex's pov:
I find her outside. I look at her as she takes a drag from her cigarette. She's wearing a cheetah print coat and her lips are like the galaxy's edge. It feels like she casted a spell on me. A spell that attracts me to her all the time. She's got this aura and face that just says baby I was made to break your heart. I approach her.
Amy's pov:
" Would you mind me having one, darling", I slightly jump as I was lost in thought. I look up to
find Alex looking at me with his starry eyes with a glimpse of cheekiness.
I hand him a cigarette and lighter. We both take our drags. I stare at him. He's just charming even when he doesn't intend on being. He's dreamy and deep, I like that.
But I can't tell if he's interested in me because he genuinely like me or I'm just another girl he wants to fuck on his list. But why does my heart say other so?
Alex's pov:
I realise she's staring at me. As I turn to look her in the eye, she flinches and turns around looking a bit red. I smile to myself at her shy childlike action.
"I need to go back inside, A party awaits me." She says, and leaves within the second.
I watch her walk away in the foggy night. She turns around and her bold red lips give me a smile.
Amy's pov:
I walk back inside to James, Sam and Dave. I see that they were hanging out with Arctic monkeys.
I say hello to Matt, Jamie and nick. They do the same and smile back.
"You guys are going to be great, I feel it", Matt says.
"Yeah don't worry, it's always nerve wrecking playing to an audience and well known People for the first time. You'll get used to it", Nick says.
" if you guys rock it, I'll introduce you to that girl mate", Jamie says to James.
James gives this cheeky grin.
" oh don't worry guys, cause we're about to blow your minds.", Sam says. I nod at them with a smirk.
I was actually not so nervous. Yes I did feel a bit tingly but We were great and I was ready to show people what we are.
1 hour later.
" lady's and gentlemen, tonight we present to you our new band, the one and only The careless." Colin says.
Sam starts playing a riff as James and Dave join along with the bass and drums.
I play a few strums as I sing the first lines.
"cause I've got memories and travel like gypsies in the night....I've got no roots but my home was never on the ground"
We sing a couple few till we reach a song. For this particular song I decided I would sing it while looking alex in the eye.
"now there's one in California who's been cursing my name cause I found me a better lover in the uk till I made my getaway. 123, there gonna run back to me, cause I'm the best baby that they never gotta keep. 123, they're gonna run back to me. They always wanna come but they never wanna leave."
Alex's pov:
As she comes to this particular song she looks me in the eye throughout the whole time.
She was just magical and graceful yet wild. I look at her mesmerised by her beauty and voice.
She dances around the stage and sings to me. I smirk st her smugly throughout the song. " they always wanna come but they never wanna leave".she sings. *Well... she's got that right*, I thought. *Alex stop thinking of her that way!* I feel the radiation coming towards the crowd. They were undeniably good. Not that I underestimated them but I just didn't know what to expect.
The song comes to an end and does her stare.
Amy's pov:
" Thank you everybody you have been a lovely crowd", I say. " this our last song long hair."
"Don't believe the hype." I say to the mic.
Alex's pov:
"Don't believe the hype". Me and the rest of monkeys cheer loud as we got the reference. She's used our reference to 'I bet that you look on the dance floor' video.
Does she listen to our music?
She gets a bit red and embarrassed as she say the statement but we cheer her on.
Amy's pov:
" once a week I keep an evening free for you, does she teach you things? Oh does she teach you things that you'd never do for me. Well I know what you mean" I sing.
"And you were missing out....."
I hear the loud cheers from the audience. All of us thank the audience and tell them how excited we are to start our journey. " thank you everybody".
As we get offstage. I find the arctic monkeys outside. I walk towards them. As they turn around I could see Alex's huge grin.
