One Piece: Mawgona

Chapter 22: Understanding the Oozai

The town from a distance was a sight to behold, but the contents within seemed out of this world. These large pieces of metal with four wheels were just about everywhere, which after questioning the inhabitants, the Dark Soul Pirates learned that they were called "automobiles".

Speaking of the town's inhabitants, they too appeared otherworldly. A majority of them resembled Maat and Dremiik, but their skin varied from just about every color there was. The other portion of the population looked identical to Humans, but with pale skin like the Oozai brothers.

The group split off in groups of two (The Shadow Pirates combined to make an even number), and began to explore this bizarre place.

(Mawgona and Zant: The gray device)

(Zant)"Hey, 'gona."

(Mawgona)"Hm?"

(Zant)"Look at that guy over there."

He pointed at a blue Oozai sitting on a bench, and he was looking at this gray, rectangular device with sound coming from it.

(Mawgona)"What is that thing he's holding?"

(Zant)"I got no idea."

They went over to the man, and could now here someone's voice coming from the rectangle.

(Mawgona)"Um, excuse me."

(Oozai)"Huh?"

(Zant)"What's that gray thing you got there?"

(Oozai)"Oh, the bus to work is late, so I'm just catching up on Renintah's show on my phone."

(Zant)"Phone? ...That thing is a phone?"

(Oozai)"I see, you guys must be from the Blue Sea. Gohma, the guy who kinda runs this place, has been making some new technological advancements. This, he hopes, will completely phase out those snail phones everyone below uses."

(Mawgona)"Interesting, what does it do that the Den Den Mushi cannot?"

(Oozai)"Oh, a whole bunch of cool stuff! You can watch talk shows, cooking, music, and even the news without leaving your house! You'd see these things below, but the World Government and Gohma aren't 100% on perfect terms."

(Zant)"That's pretty cool, but who's this Renintah guy?"

(Oozai)"He's this robot Oozai, who was based on this one guy, from this one game and...this is gonna be a long story."

(Robin and SPA (Smaller Version): Foreign Language)

(SPA)"Ugh, this library's SOOO boring!"

(Robin)"It you don't like it, then why'd you follow me in here?"

(SPA)"Everyone else already had a partner, and-"

The brown Oozai librarian promptly "shushed" the amalgamate.

(SPA)*Quietly* "And we don't like roaming around by ourselves anyway!"

(Robin)"You can't be serious. Besides, there's nothing boring about a library, they hold dozens of interesting stories, like history, or even...huh, strange..."

(SPA)"What?"

(Robin)"This book...I never seen writing like this before."

The large purple book she held read, "Yahnoliik Yahnoliikro Dey do Duliig Kipraan" on the front.

(Robin)"I can't tell what the words mean. I'm, excuse me, librarian?"

(Librarian)"Yes?"

(Robin)"Could you tell me what this book says?"
