It was a normal Saturday, except for the fact that it was this Saturday that Osana Najimi fell sick. She grabbed her phone to text her friends Taro, Inkyu, Sakyu, Hanako, and Kokona, with her friend-turned-girlfriend Raibaru still in the group chat. She texted the group.
Osana: hey guys I'm kinda sick today.
Hanako: Oh dear! Get well soon!
Taro: Aw man! That sucks! Love you, see you soon!
Osana: uhh...
Taro: Not like that! Sorry!
Raibaru: Back off Taro! I'll be there soon Osana!
Great, Osana stared at her phone. Just what I need. To get Raibaru all worked up over me.
Raibaru took off her pajamas and put on some gray leggings and a sleeveless white shirt that revealed her pink bra straps. She quickly put her hair up and grabbed an ice pack from the freezer, a can of chicken soup from the cupboards, and some medicines from her medical cabinet behind the mirror in the bathroom. She took the stuff in a reusable shopping bag and ran to Osana's house. She rang the doorbell to see a very pale Osana, with light, purple bags under her eyes. She was wearing a pink shirt with sleeves that were too long and a white heart, with dark pink long pants and matching socks. She had left her hair down on this day, and didn't have her bow.
"Oh Osana! You look terrible! Here, I brought you an ice pack if you get a fever, and- and some chicken soup for if you get hungry, and all kinds of medicines if you start to feel too sickly!"
"No, no, I'm fine Raibaru..." Osana told her groggily. She didn't want Raibaru to fret over her, when she only had a cold. But she couldn't make Raibaru go away.
"Here, I'll set up a nice spot on the couch for you, and I'll heat up the soup for you!"
"Why must you come here and pamper me?" Osana looked embarrassed. Raibaru walked over to her and gave her a kiss on the forehead.
"Because I care for you."
When she was done setting up the couch, Raibaru beckoned Osana and covered her up. Osana heard Raibaru opening the can of soup, and decided to watch something.
As Osana watched Gravity Falls, Raibaru got the soup ready for Osana. She looked at the girl she loved with all her heart. The woman she would protect with her life. The lady that would be her bride one day...
She pushed the thought away. Same-sex marriage wasn't permitted in Japan! Of course... she could take Osana to a country that did allow it, like Canada or the U.S. ...
She focused on the soup, making sure it was 100% perfect. There could be nothing else good enough for Osana~Chan in Raibaru's eyes.
When the soup was done, Raibaru poured it into a bowl, and added some salt and pepper. She brought it to her girlfriend, and sat down in a chair by the couch.
"Thanks," Osana said weakly. Raibaru lay a hand on her.
"Is there anything else I can do?"
"You've done so much already... all you can really do now is keep me company.
"That's helpful enough for me!" Raibaru said hugging Osana, her voice full of cheer. She wanted to be at Osana's side until the day she died
