Day 2 - Investigation

 Maya and Pearl talked about what they should do for today's investigation. "Did Mr. Nick call back yet?" Pearl asked. Maya shook her head. "Well... That's okay!" Pearl said "You saw yesterday! With Mystic Mia helping us, we're unstoppable!" Pearl jumped up. "Now. What are we gonna investigate today Mystic Maya?"

Maya smiled "I guess we could look through our filing cabinet like Mia suggested." They walked to cabinet and opened it up. Maya looked through the various cases that were filed in it. "Here we go." Maya said "It's the case where Nick first met you Pearl!"

"Oh! I remember that!" Pearl responded.

"And it's an example of when channeling was related to the case!" Maya explained.

"It is?" Pearl asked. Maya told Pearl that since the case happened in the village of Khura'in it would only make sense to work with spirit channeling. "Oh." Pearl said "I get it now!"

"Right. So if we investigate the Channeling Chamber, maybe we'll find something that can help our case!" Maya yelled. Pearl nodded and the two of them took the train to Khura'in village.

Maya and Pearl walked into the Main Hall and were shocked to see the princess of Khura'in sitting in the middle of the room.

"Princess Rayfa!?" Maya said, shocked.

Rayfa turned to look at her "Oh hello peasant." She said.
"What are you doing here?" Maya asked.

Pearl tapped Maya's shoulder and whispered into her ear, "Who's that?"

"That's the princess of Khura'in, Rayfa Padma Khura'in!" Maya whispered back.

Rayfa grew a smug smile on her face "I'm here to testify as to what you two have been up to." She said.

"What!?" Maya yelled. "But we-"

"Sorry, but I'm afraid the Princess is busy right now." A strict females voice said from the Channeling Chamber. It was Adrian Andrews standing in the doorway. She walked over and bowed to the princess. "Ms. Von Karma has requested you." she said, starting to walk out with the princess.

Maya waved "Hey! Ms. Andrews!"

Adrian stopped "... Go on without me princess." Rayfa shrugged and walked out. Adrian turned to the two girls and smiled. "Hey! Maya, Pearl! Long time no see!"

Maya walked over to her "Yeah! How have you been?" She asked.

"I've been alright. Ms. Von Karma asked me to keep an eye on the princess. I'm not to allow anyone to speak to her."

"Oh. Actually, we were hoping to talk to her." Maya said.

"Why?" Adrian asked.

"She's testifying against us tomorrow." Maya said sadly.

"You're on trial tomorrow?" Adrian asked.

"Yeah." Pearl confirmed. "We were accused of misusing our magic."

"Hm." Adrian thought "That explains why we're in Khura'in."

"So will you help us out?" Maya asked.

"That depends." Adrian replied "What would help?"

"Letting us talk to the Princess would help!" Maya said.

"Sorry." Adrian said "I can't allow that."

"What!?" Maya said "But why not!?"

"Sorry. But Ms. Von Karma is my boss now, and I have to listen to her." Adrian crossed her arms and turned away from them.
