A week had passed with Army eagergly awaiting for the very day he gets his casts removed and is able to participate in matches again. Staying at home was a chore in itself and he could feel his mind deterioating each passing second. The only time he could really feel at home anymore was when Aloha was over. It sounded crazy in his mind, he hated the shouty party freak and his obnoxious and touchy attitude. Yet in a way he cherished it as a positive memory.
"...This can't be right, I'm going insane aren't I?" Army began scolding himself in desperation. He'd never acted like this before. If he hated the inkling so much then why couldn't he get him off his mind. He'd never dare to admit his enjoyment to anyone especially the party animal.
"...Perhaps it's just some fever making me think things."

Aloha had just finished his day's training with his team, there hadn't been a scheduled that day so he decided to spend it training. Maintaining his rank was difficult, he constantly had to be on top of his game. one slip up and he could easily say goodbye to his years worth of work. Despite his laidback approach to battling; on the inside he took it seriously and worked long and hard. After all, it could easily be considered a profession to him. He made alot of cash from it after all. Despite not planning on it, he pondered about visting Army. It had been a few days since they last talked. Without realising he had taken out his mobile and scrolled down his contacts to the orange inkling on his mind.
"Yo! Aloha we're getting ice cream, you in?" Octoglasses had called after him, breaking his thoughts. "Hah, you betcha~!" Aloha called after, slipping the mobile back in his shoulder bag.
.
"Maybe later..."
The pink team had gathered in a small homemade ice cream shop that sat near the beachwalk, facing towards the ocean front. It was quiet but gave off a very welcoming atmosphere. It was owned by lovely old Octoling couple who'd moved in around 5 months in advance. What Aloha admired about living in the more tropical part of Inkopolis was how the locals all knew each other, it felt very comfortable unlike the cramped city life. The only downside was that it took a while to travel to matches since they were only hosted in Inkopolis's CBD. Aloha found himself looking out the side window entranced by the pearlescent waters, gently rolling and splashing over the bright crystalized sands. He'd always been a fan of the seaside, ever since he was a child. Something about it felt so dream-like and he was honored to have the life and home he did now.
Work really pays off in the end.

In a way Army had regretted telling his team that he'd like to be on his own for now on, he found himself lost in most hours. At the same time he can take care of himself, he wasn't a child anymore afterall. Half of him felt like inviting Aloha over but the other half begged to differ.
"What's happened to you, letting your guard down like this? You act like you love the brat or something." He insulted himself harshly, he didn't know why he felt like this. He cursed his feelings. Something about Aloha made him feel at ease, made colours flush into his streaked cheeks.
"...What is this feeling...?"
Army was bursting to know what was wrong with him. It wasn't like him, he knew himself well enough. All he knew was that he just wanted to talk to Aloha again. He just didn't know how. He wasn't about to begin acting like a different person, just isn't right. "If only I didn't have these casts on, I'd be able to invite him out. Like a friendly walk. That's what friends do perhaps?" Army muttered under his breath.
