"Hello?" a voice at the other end of the phone said.

"Hello, it's me Ada"

"Of course I know it's you, what do you want?" the person on the other side of the voice said with irritation

"Our child is missing" The other end was quiet

"Did you hear what I said?"

"I am not deaf. What exactly do you want me to do about that?"

"Did you by chance send anyone to pick her..."

"What are you insinuating? That I took your child. I don't care about that girl and you know it. For all I know its good riddance. That child has been a burden to me anyway"

"How dare you!" Ada exclaimed

"Don't call this number again" He said and then hung up the phone

It had been one month since Ada's child was reported missing, Ada became a shadow of herself, her boss had given her 2 months off because of the dilemma.but Ada resigned. She felt hopeless, she felt like there was no need to work when there was no one to work for, she hardly left her apartment or picked the calls of her family and friends. She had gone down into depression and she was already contemplating suicide. She just couldn't wrap her fingers around who could have taken her child.

One day she was laying down on the couch holding on to Chioma's favorite toy when her phone rang. She usually didn't pick her phone calls but this time she decided to. Without looking she used her hands to try to locate her phone which she dumped on her rug.

"Hello"

"Miss Ada?"

"Speaking"

"This is Miss Janet chioma's teacher"

"What do you want?"

"Emm.. I think I know who took your child".

Ada sat up immediately, intrigued. "Who?"
