After Aunt Lian gives me a little bit of a break from her teachings (not that I needed a break or anything), I decide to treat Alexa to Chinese takeout and a movie night in our pajamas, and in my room. Both of which (Chinese food and movies) I know we both love.

And when I take a look at her in her pajamas, I nearly have an anime nosebleed moment. She is wearing a loose black crop top, and a pair of royal blue short shorts outlined in purple. God, it seems that almost every article of clothing she owns serves no other purpose than to accentuate every curve she's got.

Anyway, since I know she also loves the entire Sword From The Stars franchise, I went ahead yesterday and bought every single Sword From The Stars movie in existence for tonight.

(Sidebar: Sword From The Stars is a Japanese anime franchise in our universe, one that has three, twenty-episode series and five movies so far. It really is pretty good.)

When I turn on the first movie, we snuggle, sitting up in my bed, with our takeout containers in our laps, and as she eats, and the movie goes on, I just look at her eat and have fun, and I am reminded just how lucky--no--just how divinely blessed I truly am. Because I think The Divine King made sure to make someone specifically for me. And if memory serves, Genesis 2:18 says in so many words, that God knew it was not good that man was alone for any reason, so he created a companion and partner for him. And I believe God created my companion and partner just for me: My Alexa.

As I watch her, I take the time to study her different emotional responses and the corresponding facial expressions, and what scenes elicit each response. My analytical mind then uses that information to come up with thousands of different possible scenarios corresponding to each scene that would, in turn, elicit each response.

By this point, our meals are just about gone, and she leans on me. She periodically gets off to rant at the characters a little, and then leans back on me. And the cycle continues until all five movies are over.

"Seriously though," she says, "the only reason why the villains lose almost every single time is because their plans always fall through."

"No," I counter, "the villains' plans actually have some logic to them. Their plans are, in fact, very sound. The reasons why the villains lose are actually because they always give the protagonist all the time he needs to transform, number one. Number two, they never stop him from gaining the power boosts they all know he has, which, in turn, he needs time to retrieve, which, in turn, they always give him, and, in turn, they think they can beat him in his stupid-strong state. Plain and simple. Thirdly, the protagonist was fated to be this overpowered, broken character who, as long as the Cosmic Blade remains in his hands, can't be stopped. Like, at all."

"Oh hush," she says, harumphing, crossing her arms, turning away from me, and making that cute little pout of hers that makes my heart go crazy.

I chuckle, wrap my arms around her, and right before I give her a peck on the cheek, I say, "You only tell me to hush when you know I'm right."

"David," she says, "let's do this again. I really enjoyed myself. And don't get me wrong, I loved dressing up when we went to all those amazing places for our first date, but I think I love this a little bit more. The closeness, the comfort, the warmth, the sheer intimacy of it all. And don't even get me started on how much thought you put into this. Thank you for tonight. I loved it. And the next time we do this, I'm going to pick the movies. Deal?"

"As long as that would make you happy," I reply, "the next time we do this, the movie selection is completely up to you. Without a doubt."

"That would make me very happy. Because the movies I'm going to pick are going to make you happy," she says, straddling and facing me.
