Part One: The Creatures Of The Fae

Unknown Area | Elf/Fae Territorial Border
Tuesday, November 1, 2034 | 06:30 EST

It takes us thirty minutes for us to reach the border between the elf and fae territories in the Scout at cruising speed, and the ride is filled with nothing but an awkward silence. But as I pilot, Alexa keeps rubbing her right hand on my left leg, I guess in reassurance to herself that everything is going to eventually turn out alright. But I really wish that she'd stop. My suit can only restrain me but for long until it begins to get uncomfortable.

When we get off the Scout and start walking the short distance to the border, my feline princess holds my hand and says, "Something doesn't feel right. Something feels uneasy."

I use my infrared vision to uncover fifty invisible faeries in the air and in the waist-tall, very green grass of the open field. They're armored up with shields and they're pointing spears at us.

"You mean other than the fact that we're completely surrounded on all sides, and our only means of escape is completely blocked?" I ask. "Because I would have to agree with you in lieu of the fact that in addition to being completely surrounded, we also have weapons trained on us."

To the faeries, I call out, "Please, we mean you all no harm. We are from the Elf Kingdom, and we just want to have an audience with your leader, whomever that may be."

No response. Damn. I wish my Faerie was as good as my Elvish, but here goes: "Qweta tyu dondon hiaer xe hoerv zu. Qweta dusari xe svhike vidht uyla riulyr, yuiopl ebor yeut mew kekkel."

The faeries make themselves seen, and we raise our hands to show we intend them peace. Then, they slowly come closer, and the faerie in front of me says in English with a Scottish accent, "So at least y'know the FaeTongue. But we speak CommonTongue, too."

This world we're trapped in is filled with beautiful, shapely, female humanoids. This faerie is as tall barefoot as my sister is in heels, and has the same color blonde hair put up in a bun. She also has the same skin tone as my sister, too. However, like all the rest of the fae creatures, her eyes glow like Alura's do when she uses her powers, making it impossible to see her irises and pupils, and the color of the glow is green. She also has wings like that of a dragonfly, and they move at thirty-five times the speed (dragonfly, 30 beats/second: faerie, 1,050 beats/second) to keep her hovering.

"So why didn't you respond when I spoke in CommonTongue?" I ask in English, clearly annoyed.

"Why d'you conceal your identity with a hood and mask?"

"You've made your point. Now we really need to talk to whoever your leader or leaders are."

"If y'really mean us no harm, you'll hand over your weapons as a show of good faith."

We comply.

"Fine, you may pass."

We walk under armed guard to what I'm assuming is the middle of this gigantic city, and another female faerie, almost regal in appearance, meets us outside of a castle-like structure. After looking at us, and what appears to be sizing us up, she turns and hovers inside the structure and beckons for us to follow.

Part Two: Convincing The Faerie Queen

Inside The Border | Fae Territory
Tuesday, November 1, 2034 | 06:50 EST

When the fae woman halts before turning and sitting onto what appears to be a throne of some kind, she says in English with a Scottish accent, "Now, who are ye, an' what d'you want?"

Alura steps forth. "My name is Alurathia Nightstar, daughter of King Silvyr Nightstar and Queen Halanaestra Sunweaver. We have come to talk through an alliance with your kingdom, Queen Yggdrali."
