Part One: The Atrocities Of Human Trafficking

I can't believe it! This bullshit is happening right under my father's nose. And Aunt DEELEX isn't going to alert Dad to this mess because she can't report that which she does not see. And even though her systems are automatically monitoring everything in and connected to Dad's company, she doesn't really pay much attention to it, nowadays. She's becoming more and more human with each passing day. But rest assured, she'll see this crap, now.

When we get inside the building, it takes every ounce of self-control I was taught to restrain my temper. The girls are on the silver slip express elevator that leads to the penthouse floor. And awaiting the girls is about FORTY men between the aproximate ages of twenty-six years and fifty-eight years. IN MY FATHER'S BUILDING!! I really need to break something. Or someone. It truthfully makes no difference to me. StealthOps is positioned all around the floor, keeping to the shadows and waiting for my signal, per my orders.

Alexa is partnered with me, as usual, and she is trying her hardest to keep me calm, holding my right hand with her left, drawing circles in my palm with her thumb, and whispering sweet nothings into my right ear, though her words fall on very deaf ears. I do try to calm myself, though, aware of the steady rise in my blood pressure, and even more aware of the fact that when a person gets angry, they get sloppy unless they can channel that anger. So I focus my thoughts into trying to get this mission over with.

Malaya, I think to the cherub, establish a telepathic link between us. And tell Asune to provide a mental security shroud so that we remain undetected, just in case there are other telepaths present.

Right, she thinks back to me.

I give her about ten seconds, and then I think out, Sound off codenames, everyone, if you can hear me.

Marker, present, thinks babygirl into the mental group chat.

Mech here, thinks Rick. Man, this is frickin' weird.

LightSpeed, present and accounted for, Asune thinks out. And Rick, remember what we talked about.

Ignition here, I hear Malaya think.

PulseWave, present, thinks Jessie.

Pulsation, present in mind and body, thinks Davida. Only my twin, man, I'll tell you.

NightElf Magi, at your service, Alura thinks to us.

BattleAxe is present, thinks Zaga'anra into the mind link. And I do agree with Rick. This ethereal presence we have in each other's minds is rather unsettling.

Well, I reply, we haven't been in a situation together that's required complete and total radio silence, before. But we need to remain so that these animals can't hear us, at all. Which means that we can't even whisper.

I understand, thinks Zaga'anra.

Now, everyone, I continue, listen up. We can't have normal conversations during our time here for obvious reasons, and I neither want nor need the white noise of hearing your conversations between yourselves. That's a distraction. When we speak, we have to take turns talking. Work using the signals you were trained with. Asune, leave Rick where he is and take all the guards off the board. That is, silently disarm them and incapacitate them. Painfully. The less goons we all have to confront, the better.

Asune leaves this space, still connected to the link. As she works her way around the building, I continue, Rick, hack into Allen International's electrical systems. When I say 'kill the lights', you are going to cut the lights and we will switch to night vision. Vida, once the lights are cut, while the men are disoriented, you and Jessie will have less than ten seconds to remove the girls and take them someplace safer than where they are before the building's auxiliary generator activates itself. Malaya, scout outside and see if any more players show up. And give me names, if they do. Alura, I want you to cast a spell that restores this building to pristine condition after our fight, because I have a feeling that we are, in fact, going to have to fight, and lots of things are going to get damaged as a direct result. The rest of us will observe, and we will wait for our window of opportunity to attack together. Everyone, check in every ten minutes. After you get finished with your assignments, inform me of such, regroup with your partners on this floor and get back into position, and prepare to fight. Are we understood?
