"Long ago there were 3 Kingdoms on planet Orbis: Solaris, Stellaris and Tera. Stellaris was the biggest of the three, surrender by the ocean on all the sides but one ,which was the border between Solaris and Stellaris. But one day the King of Stellaris had twins as the heir. Though the oldest son should be the king even if he's just a few minutes older, the King adored both of his son equally thus he decided to split the Kingdom in two. Leaving a now smaller Stellaris for his older son George de Stella and the new Kingdom of Lunaris to his other son Jahan de Lunar.
Magic was uncommon in this world but existent, people with magic power were feared and commonly label outcasts and loners, some were even banished to Tera, a single large island on the other side of the world, a beautiful land once but now corrupted by dark energy from underground. Humans and animals leaving in Tera had to adapt themselves to the corrupted land, giving birth to similar creatures and the now called Elf race.
Elf also commonly called demons or devils. They mostly looked human, besides they tall stature going up to 2.5m, pointy ears and fangs and unlike the other humans, save some exemplars, they possess a large amount of magic, mostly dark one. Blessed with physical strength greater than humans, their wounds would heal in a matter of hours and could go days without food or water whiteout any side effect. Some could say they were the ultimate life form of Orbis.
Humans and animals that lived the closes to the dark energy source however turned into mindless and reckless monster, they lack the knowledge to use magic, thus the dark energy inside they boost their physical strength by 10 in comparison to an Elf. To this day the mindless beasts lurk around underground."
This was the introduction of a certain short novel. Ashe read it some months ago while she sat on the bus on her way to and from work. She often thought herself as one of the characters of the novel, it was like an escape. Ashe didn't have an easy life, but it wasn't bad per say. She had a normal job as a waitress, had a handful of friends and her family was normal at most. Two loving parents and an older brother, annoying to the degree all siblings should be. She lived alone but didn't feel lonely at all but her life lack excitement. "Living in the world of Orbis sure would be fun..." she often found herself thinking.
